From an outsider’s perspective, this entire exchange reveals more about the faction's internal struggles than about those who left. The sheer intensity of this response suggests that their departure wasn’t as insignificant as claimed. If they were truly unimportant, why expend so much energy discrediting them?

The accusations of arrogance, isolation, and entitlement feel like an attempt to rewrite history in favor of the remaining members. Perhaps the departed group did have high standards—maybe even too high for the environment they were in—but dismissing that as "elitism" ignores the possibility that their frustrations stemmed from real issues within the faction.

It’s also telling that instead of acknowledging any potential faults or areas for improvement, the response is purely one of resentment and rejection. A faction that claims to value unity should be capable of introspection. Instead, this statement reads more like an emotional outburst than a measured reflection on what led to this split.

Ultimately, departures like these rarely happen in a vacuum. When members who once dedicated time and effort decide to leave, it’s worth asking why—rather than just celebrating their absence.
If you claim to be an outsider, then act like one—sit back, shut up, and enjoy the show instead of pretending you have some deep wisdom about things you were never part of. If you're just here to throw in your two cents, let me stop you right there—your opinion isn't even worth that much.

You think our response is “too intense”? That’s what happens when someone spreads blatant lies. Unlike some, we don’t deal in fake niceties. If someone tries to twist the truth, we will call it out. If you expected us to sit in silence while someone spits on the faction that we built, you’ve badly miscalculated. We are not cowards, and we don’t let falsehoods slide.

Let’s talk about “high standards.” A faction built on high standards doesn’t shut out its own allies in battle. Hades Brigade didn’t raise the bar—they isolated themselves, speaking in their own language during fights so no one else could understand them. That’s not leadership, that’s selfishness. If they truly wanted to strengthen EV, they would have worked with us—not treated the faction like their personal playground.

And let’s be very clear—EV was perfectly fine before Hades showed up. We had our structure, our discipline, and our way of doing things. Then this guy came in, dragged his friends along, stirred up drama, and now wants to act like he was the victim? Spare us. He didn’t “elevate” anything—he came in, demanded special treatment, refused to integrate, and when that didn’t work, he took his toys and ran.

So don’t sit here acting like this was some great tragedy or a loss we should reflect on. We don’t need them. We don’t miss them. And we certainly don’t need some random spectator trying to tell us how to feel about it.

Now, kindly take your “outsider wisdom” and shove it somewhere far away from here.

Oh, don’t worry—I’m not hiding behind an alt like some of you. I say what I mean, and I stand by it. Unlike those who talk big but lack the courage to face reality, I don’t need a mask to speak my mind.

It’s funny how you claim you “don’t care” about Hades Brigade, yet here you are, foaming at the mouth over their departure. If they were truly so irrelevant, this wouldn’t have rattled you so much. But the anger, the hostility, the desperate need to rewrite the past—it all screams insecurity.

You call them selfish for operating differently, but maybe that’s just an excuse to cover up the fact that EV never actually knew how to integrate talent when it didn’t fit your mold. Leadership isn’t forcing conformity; it’s recognizing strength in different approaches. Instead of working with them, you pushed them out and then acted shocked when they left. That’s on you.

And let’s be real—EV wasn’t perfectly fine before they arrived. If it had been, they wouldn’t have felt the need to do things differently in the first place. But sure, keep telling yourself that nothing of value was lost. The way you’re ranting suggests otherwise.

I have enjoyed my interactions with Hades in game and on the forums so far and hope they don't burn out quickly the way many RP focused factions often do.

I really don't give two damns about the drama queens and just wanted to add my two cents to the faction concept.
Got to say that the background story was a fancy read, albeit a little funky with the whole expedition part. As I understand it, you try to explain your own brief absence as player? Quite the nice idea for that tbh and whilst we'll never properly look beyond Sirius through lore perspectives, there being traces of Daam K'vosh elsewhere, potentially guarded in ways unbeknownst to Humans yet is a nice head canon. It might not really offer a good perspective for future RP but it delivers an interesting background to your character at least.

As for your goals, you are just open to it all? Like me that. We have quasi "specialized" player groups for the Order at the moment, so one dipping into everything as allrounder is nice to have. I might not be very active anymore but if you ever need someone in Order|, more specifically Wedjat to play RP ball with you I'll gladly help you out.

Sincerely, your local Order| HC sleeper agent.

Firstly i would like to say this,
Many a time i told fellow players sharing discovery that i so would like to see some mod in freelancer take us through the "Daam K'vosh" gates and explore the new worlds.

Bretonia fighting, Kusari, Gallia Fighting Bretonia, Rheiland Fighting Liberty, over the passed eons since Discovery's existence has reached its war house to house stale mate
some new grounds and ventures would bring some fresh story lines and scenarios and what better then what lies behind the vast "Daam K'vosh" network as shown in the vanilla movie clip where they found all the hyper gates Sirius was but a spec in that whole network.

So Tekagi When u mentioned the "Daam K'vosh" you got all my ears, and still would like to see this one day its just a dream.

Secondly

As one of the acting E\V/ 2ic's

EV members there is no need for derogative language and name calling and bad form regardless of what has been done said or lied about.

We as a group is better then this...

Please lets direct our focus into things that matter.

I have logs on my personal discord where people have disregarded faction authority, blatantly said they wont be told by any faction rank what and what not to do and showed
no respect towards the faction when help in peaceful manner was offered and a private chat was established to let certain members not lose face with certain members.

We gave many opportunities and let the reigns lose and offered many assistances just to be put down as unworthily, or useless in a condescending manner.

And somehow the feeling that a certain member thought he was the latest cool aid to discovery and rest is nothing was created by a member towards other members which stirred resentment.

We are friends in EV and we try to accommodate all young new and old we do not want to deprive any one in game to have a fun good experience in game.

If you have a problem because i prefer to mine ore, or transport goods or to manufacture the weapons u use on your ship and you have a problem with that
that i love that more then to pew pew some random guy that just logged on 5 minutes ago then it sounds like a your problem.

Not all that share this server has the same interests and we at EV try to accommodate all.

Some like good RP and have a ship that never leaves Omicron Mu and just do Forum RP all day let him have it.
Some like to mine and transport let them have it.
Some like to do group cap battles let them have it.
Some like snubs and pew pew let them have it.
Some prefer PVE missions and battle zones and to farm blueprints let them have it.

No one is lesser then any one else because the concept you miss looked is we are TEAM players

and all the little things each pathetic little player bring to the table in your eyes is one guy that makes a needed part in the bigger oiled machine

Which you never wanted a part of we even gave you your own brigade and said go crazy do what u want live your dream to the fullest and yet
that was not enough.

There is no god player between a team and no member is more important or better then the next player even how stupid this idea might sound to u.

in the End there is one question i will ask

Were you here to be helpfull, or hurtfull.

Otherwise then me maties and friends that i have shared this faction for a long time and got to know even more
factions that i got involved in and are helping them to my personal limits i learned one thing.

Every thing works better in a team which u clearly did not wanted out of your own be a part off.

If we were then so unbearable and beneath u, i whish you well and the best of luck forward
may you find the happiness you seek in your own faction without the needs of others or values of others.

Let your creativity go and bring the server good stories to read i read many of them and yes u do some nice RP.
Hades i wish you well and may God bless u on your ventures forward.

We all are friends that like to share the same game if none of us were here each one would logg the server and see (1) in the server pop.

So before you start slinging hate around and making it unbearable for your Neighbour in Sirius to log just keep this one thought in mind.

Am i here to be helpful, or am i here to be hurtful?

I bid you all a blessed evening

Wow, this thread's one hell of a firecracker.

I would like to provide my own thoughts and opinions of Hades Brigade, having had many (somewhat inevitable) interactions.

They're a bunch of people with the right kind of mindset. They have the spirit of Roleplay, and they're led by someone who wants more than just /1 /2 pew pew. I respect that in a group.

During their time with Eclipse Vanguard, there were some interesting things happening. I felt more like the factions direction was going far better with this group adding their Roleplay and interactions to their ranks. I felt hope (lol) that they'd form both a formidable force and a Roleplay interaction that wouldn't just go "see red, shoot red". Life as a covert wild player was becoming more interesting, having to fool people who roleplayed smartly in-game. Eclipse Main, well. There was not many times they interacted, and not all interactions had been terribly pleasant. But that's probably simply to do with the way the rules work on IDs, Bounty scans and "Shoot red first, ask later" type of things.

This split, while not totally unpredictable, is probably the most necessary course of action. Since Hades Brigade announced their departure, there's been more than a few unpleasant messages from more than a couple of people. A shame really, because I would have thought Eclipse would embrace the idea that Hades wanted to spread their wings, carve their own future.

I can think of only one slightly dissatisfactory interaction with them, but that was borne out of a lack of understanding of why things were happening in such a way which, once explained, promptly generated an apology and the situation was considered handled for both sides. A respectable Leader to Leader interaction, where transparency shows you can resolve differences, even as enemies in-game. (There's more than a few groups who need this skill somewhere in their factions, if not in one of their leaders, then in some kind of representative...)

On the whole, Hades brigade are some decent people who seemed to be suffocating under the presence of the group they were previously affiliated with. I can only wish them the best of luck, and hope that they don't burn out.

I mean you left of your own accord, this was just your Ego wanting to put down the top 3 most popular faction on the server that is EV with your parting message and remarks here, Gentleman.

Thing is, life will go on, I have no doubt this will be the pretty common low popularity, RP and snub PvP focused faction, while EV will do their thing - just say thank you very much, say intentions differ and part ways as it should be. Tale as old as time in Disco that folks that treat it as just an entertaining game flying with friends having a great time don't see eye to eye with the more immersed folk.

This whole thing takes me back to a time when Vagrants came to be. It, naturally, did not resonate well with the existing Nomad factions, so it turned into a huge hodge-podge of mixed perspectives.

Factions splitting is never going to be a smooth process, especially when the split is born out of the original faction being untoward and - blatantly speaking - utterly disrespectful and inconsiderate of both the community, mutual gaming experience, and Discovery's culture as a whole.

Now, on topic of Hades Brigade. I've been watching from the sidelines, peeking my nose into various RPs you've been doing over time, and I see great promise and potential. Do not let yourselves be discouraged by evidently spiteful and aggressive players. I hope to see your faction prosper.

I thought Vagrants were just an RP flavour split - was that really because they though Ill of Khara? Unlike Hades they kept it behind the scenes, as it frankly should be done.
