Thanks, Asp. You're a lifesaver.

Though... I'm not gonna' lie I'm a little concerned here since you're the last person I'd ever expect to ask me to hurt someone. What the hell did this... His name was Zach right? What the bloody hell did he pull, and more importantly, are you alright?

I'll live. I fooled myself, is what happened.

I had some misgivings about the man, but I wanted to trust my crewmate. So, for that, I get double-crossed in record time. This bottom-feeder... made off with something beyond valuable to buy his way into a meagre place with the Core, just so he could make a few more credits in a day. Someone's going to suffer for that, not that he minds. And, in the end that's my fault, because I was too good to see someone for what he was, apparently.

Look, it's complicated, but trust that he'd have it coming. I tried to take him to task and failed, so I'll just have to live with it. I'll tell you more later when I'm not up to my neck in other sorts of trouble.

God. Why'd I ever think that was a good nickname?

Um, one more thing Becky.

Do you have to change the subject of every message you send in this chain? My PDA's logging this as four separate conversations now.

Have mercy!

You're lucky, Rebecca.

I got it. One rifle, of the correct make, good condition! If maybe a bit, em, slightly used? Though, you'd hardly be able to tell after a once-over. Or, maybe I wouldn't. I only happened to see it in use up close. Not towards me, thank goodness... um, for the most part.

To be honest, it was pure providence finding it. Detroit sold out after limited production as I understand, and while finding Deathware on the grey market appears alarmingly simple, this specific make's one blade of grass in a wide prairie. We've got our collectors back home, though, legal and otherwise. My cousin pointed me towards a few he knows that didn't pick up and leave yet.

It's fitting for trespasser and tee-lizard deterrent, I can tell you that with confidence. Convincing the man to part with it wasn't, mm, straightforward. But we didn't leave him high and dry.

Should I meet you in the Crow someplace to hand this off? I've a route in mind already.

[As the recording began to play, an eye familiar with Rebecca's combat armour might quickly pick up on the fact that the gear was coated in dust. The armour also curiously seemed to have accumulated some extra battle damage that hadn't been quite present the last time Aspen might have paid any form of serious attention to the armour. Rebecca herself didn't look much better as her usually messy hair played host to a rather sightly mess of sweat, dried blood flecks and more of the dusty grime that coated Rebecca's armour, and the bags under her eyes being a dead giveaway that she had been awake for at least a day or two by the time she started recording the message.]

Okay, so, uh, definitely owe an apology and I'm not so sure if a simple sorry will cut it, but it's all I've got really at the moment. So, sorry. Didn't plan on dropping off the grid like that, but... well, uhm, long story short. What should have been something quick and simple turned into an entire bloody mess and uh...

[Rebecca gestured to herself with both hands before releasing a sigh. The initial burst of energy that seemed to undercut her words had started to wear off. A crash was likely imminent based on the Leadswoman's voice and eyelids that seemed to be fighting to stay open.]

Yeah... Uh look, I'm not quite certain how long I'm going to sleep for after all this and I don't know where you are at the moment so if you want to you can just rent a storage locker wherever and I'll pick up the rifle when I wake up. Don't get me wrong would be lovely to meet and catch up but I really don't want to put you out there or have you carrying excess cargo any longer on my behalf and I'm kinda' just dead headed at the moment to make an actual plan and cause you any more issues,

Oh, uhm, yeah thanks a million for that by the way. You're an absolute lifesaver, let me kn-

[An unprompted yawn interrupts Rebecca.]

Oh, bloody hell, yeah, uhm, just let me know how much I owe you and where you decided to leave the rifle and all those other details and... yeah.

[Another yawn followed and Rebecca's head seem to tilt down towards the desk she was sitting at for a moment before snapping back up right and towards the camera. A quick shake of the came and the last words of the recording were a barely audible mumbled mess.]

Right, cheers and sorry again for y'know, things, and g'night and talk to you when I'm actually bloody awake.
