Hello, DTR!

Having been back for a week or two and of course coming to blows with Corsairs as an OC, I do have a few words for the residents of Theta/Gamma in my short time being out of FL retirement.

On the plus side first, it's been nice to get back into the pew-pew with our ancient enemies, and you guys do seem like nice people at least for the most part. Can't say I've personally had any issues with attitude yet. I personally think insults in-RP are fine and quite natural for two factions that'd spit at each other naturally. As far as the encounters between HS/CL} and DTR have been, it seems relatively even. Perhaps the gank issues have been sorted, and that's great to see if so. Clearly others have had different experiences, but I'm exclusively speaking from my own perspective here since coming off of a 9-year hiatus.

That said...

...the quality of RP falling short, my guys and gals. It is completely fine to be new, it is fine to be unaware of basic expectation as it's not like RP is common in FL, what with Discovery being just about the last well-known server on the game and all. However seeing shit like "" and other emote nonsense in allegedly RP text where OOC is not being specified, I don't think it's asking much to request the seniors of the faction to reign in those that aren't speaking with basic etiquette in-RP. I don't have specific screenshots right now, I will do so in the future should it come to it but this isn't really a finger-point at anyone specific this time, just a pattern I've noticed. I'd kindly ask that some members of DTR and their non-tagged associates at least try to speak with some eloquence in the context of playing your faction. That is the point of Discovery, after all.
