Having this message displayed while trying to run both programs.

Skype.exe - Entry Point Not Found
Windows Live Messenger: msnmsgr.exe - Entry Point Not Found

Message below reads as 'The procedure entry point IsHungAppWindow could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll.

I need help with this one. Hoping that someone gives a hand.

Thanks

Have you tried repairing/reinstalling the programs, that usually solves my dll issues.

Re downloading and installing didn't solve it. I recieve the same message and the Skype barely operates while it is now even impossible to install the MSN Live because of the error.

Had a quick look around Google and it could be malware (oh noes).

I'll keep hunting, but in the mean time I recommend scanning for bad files.

EDIT: This may help: Clean re-install intructions of WLM

It looks like some malware (if any) could be renaming and disguising itself as your messenger and/or skype, looks like a few have had your problem in the past.

go take a look in 'regedit' (in run) and if you have unistalled both apps. Delete any entry related to them.

Right, it seems the problem was mainly caused by a messing up in the registry. The tutorial proved to be quite useful and solved it. Thanks to both.

I recommend the link Fletcher gave stickied somewhere.
