Coming soon, we will be implementing a revised Interspace Commerce ID. This will read as follows:
Interspace ID Wrote:This Liberty Corporate ID is used by employees of Interspace Commerce, who:
Can attack Lane Hackers.
Can engage in piracy against competitors outside of House Space.
Cannot use Cruisers, Battlecruisers, Battleships, or ships with more than 3,600 cargo space, except the Renzu Liner.
Within Zone of Influence (Systems containing a Sirius Trade Lane):
Can attack ships considered hostile by Interspace.
Can attack competitors outside of House Space.
Can engage in piracy against non-Gallic Corporate ships, except for cargo.

The expanded piracy line (without the house space restriction!) is intended to represent the leverage Interspace holds over (Sirian) corporations as an insurance and loan provider, and financier of gates and lanes, to demand additional fees or roleplay demands, such as forcing a trader to accept paid escort services as loss prevention. The cargo restriction is to clarify that IC is not intended to be played as a bulk shipping ID.
Normally ID changes like this aren't announced in advance, but since the ID also includes a drop in cargo capacity to 3 600, this announcement is to give players a chance to switch IDs or ships.
The changes will go live one week from now, on the server restart of July 19th. At that point, any Interspace ship exceeding the cargo limit will be given a complementary Universal Shipping ID.
its not "piracy" in the normal sense. Its a very well-worded argument using insurance premiums and the like as leverage to gain a little bank outta it. Im fairly sure this could be quite fun, but how it will work in practice will be quite interesting to observe.
Quote:Can engage in piracy against non-Gallic Corporate ships, except for cargo.
So IC can demand credits, equipment - guns, engine, shield, etc.; EXCEPT things that are cargo - Including Earhart Materials?
You can't demand material items. Only money and services.
Hold on, just had my coffee, and it kicked in.
Let me make sure I understand correctly:
In ZOI - IC Can't demand ANY CARGO!
Outside ZOI - IC CAN demand CARGO!
Inside ZOI + OUTSIDE HOUSE SPACE - CAN ATTACK AND PIRATE EXCEPT FOR CARGO
Outside ZOI + OUTSIDE HOUSE SPACE - CAN ATTACK AND PIRATE
NON GALLIC CORPORATE SHIPS OR ID? - Scenario: Gallic Civ Ship with Freelancer ID. CAN IC ENGAGE or PIRATE?

Okay, let's go through this.
You can, like basically every other Corporate ID, pirate Competitor IDs (Samura and IDF, in IC's case) globally outside of house space.
You can, like basically every other Corporate ID, freely engage Competitor IDs within ZOI outside of house space.
Additionally, you can demand credits and RP services from Corporate Faction IDs, except Gallic Corporate Faction IDs, in ZOI which is any system containing a Sirius trade lane.

Is that clear?
Its clear for me; only wanted clarifications on the Gallic Corporate "Ship" vs "ID" and Outside ZOI + Outside House Space for Cargo Piracy.
Suggestion: change the word "ship" with "ID", to accurately reflect the intended design.
And update this to all IDs: I.E.: XENO Alliance
Thanks
