Kōkyo, Imperial District, New Tokyo, House Kusari, 835 A.S
Attaché Jumon Okashima
Representative of the Technocracy.
The Foreign Ministry of Kusari received a motion by one of its associates containing information that the group known as 'Technocracy of Auxo' wishes to converse with the Empire about the prevailing legal status quo of their organization within the territories of the Kusari.
I have been requested to establish formal contact with you. Over the sheer lack of any proper formal relations existing in the past, we will begin with working out a baseline understanding of each other and then immediately move on to the more straightforward details. The neural-net is no place for this, however. This cold and sterile way of interacting with each other simply cannot replace meetings in physical space. Since the Technocracy is actually quite known to suffer from diplomatic standings - or rather the lack of those - across several houses and other noteworthy entities, we would propose for you to forward a meeting place you can reach. I am more than willing to undertake a lengthy journey, if required.
In representation of the Imperial Foreign Ministry of Kusari,
Jumon Okashima
I do apologize for the delay in my response. Duties often have me being requested to provide consultation on various subjects, so let's get to business.
There has indeed been some inquiries passed onto me from the Phalanx about that status you mentioned, and much more we'd like to bring to the table. Our past diplomatic relationships with... 'Other' nations have indeed been strained, in the wake of Bretonia's betrayal at the end of the Gallic War. Though we'll start small. I've positioned my vessel in neutral territory, on the edge of the Taus. The Baffin system, if you're familiar. I have a conference room on board we'll be making use of, and will be organizing some light catering for the occasion. Any personnel you bring will be welcome to a free lunch.
The Halcyon will welcome you, and I look forward to greeting you in person.
I am well aware of the Baffin system, having enjoyed the local Zoners hospitality myself a few years ago.
It is a most suitable location for discussions such as we will enjoy shortly.
My delegation is considerably smaller than you might expect, just myself and my secretary. The technical staff of the Kudokuten, the vessel of choice for our journey, will stay behind aboard the Pelican-class and await our return. So please don't lose yourself in extravagancy whilst organizing any catering, a few small refreshments are more than sufficient.
We are currently on Planet Kyushu and would depart to meet up with your vessel upon your discretion.
In representation of the Imperial Foreign Ministry of Kusari,
Jumon Okashima
