The Maquis may have inherited the technological might of the Council, but they squander it, and these environmentalists at their wing do little to compensate for such inadequacy. Roussillon will bend to our will within the month, although I have concerns regarding the ammunition supplies available on Resurgent. I am making arrangements to move VL Autorité and VL Enquête to capture more of the materials our adversaries cannot help but nourish our territory with. They shall be
rechristened vaisseaux de contrôle des frontiers, for with so much of our former fleet mothballed in deep space or cannibalized to sate Resurgent and Accuser's hunger for machinery, they are some of our most formidable vessels in operation.

Gallia's might and glory shall be restored within our lifetimes, and Roussillon will be the foundation of its reconstruction.

I have been working closely with the mechanics aboard Resurgent. While our forces have ruled Roussillon since Fantôme's transmission, it has not been without difficulty. This frenzy of activity has required more repairs than are routine, and some of the forces which would sustain us through trade interdiction have been moved here.

VCF Tourbillon enters a scrap field.

During the lulls between skirmishes, I have been aboard VCF Tourbillon, commanding a salvage crew. Even from the remains of the war, Roussillon abounds with scrap metal and drifting ships, both partial and whole. Often we come across the lower quality alloys used by our adversaries, but we do occasionally find remnants of the Enclave adrift in the fields. Reforging their ships into new, sharper weapons for the crown is the best honor we can bestow upon them posthumously.

As a precaution, a fighter patrols the perimeter of Tourbillon's salvage operation for early warning of interception and photography. Escorts are kept to a minimum to avoid drawing attention.

We avoid staying in a single field for too long. The environmentalists are slack in their patrols, but the Maquis are, if nothing else, tenacious.

Tourbillon transits Rousillon's star.

Our escort is under orders to break off when we are intercepted. Small patrols fall easily to a Taureau's armament, and we clean up while our escort searches for a new place to continue salvaging. When threatened by larger forces, Tourbillon flees as well.

Resurgent has not the space to process all these materials, so Tourbillon further serves as a mobile workshop for basic processing and fabrication. Our engineers tell me our methods of metallurgy are... crude, in comparison to a proper foundry, but they have reassured me this is more an issue in the amount of material that is wasted, rather than in the quality of the product.
