These AI characters are pretty cool role play. But keep in mind that most folks out there (role play and real world) do NOT like talking to a machine. I personally get annoyed when an automated system calls my house to try to sell me something. And if I call a business ... I expect a human on the other end ... I totally cannot stand pressing various options to get to a human being that shoulda been the first thing I heard ... 30 minutes of my life gone because of some machine.

Pirates that come across these machines get treated like any other non-responsive player ... destruction of the ship and all cargo taken.

Never said you did, but if you wanted to RP somewhere where there aren't that many people and where it could make sense for a secret prototype AI thing to be developed there.

Baltar, you're saying that without ever seeing my character I presume, and are you saying when you call a buisness you would rather just wait for the ringing tone for 30 mins? It's there for a reason, people are busy, not the fact that they want you to talk to the answering machine.

I ordered the attack on you, joint with Fluid, because you were shooting our dread, and, if we RPed, that is the same as you shooting one of us, I'm sorry, but, if you want to roleplay that, find some other way of making the NPCs mad, like not dropping cargo, but, if you shoot it, we will defend it.

Also, trial by forums are a no no, best to PM the faction leader

The entire point of shooting the dreadnought as that the Virus caused the sensors on the ship to picture it as a Nomad Battleship. And according to that it opened fire, getting the NPCs mad wouldn't change anything, if I wanted to get them mad specificaly only that I would have used TCD on the dread.

One Problem: Every time I look at the front I can see my character with a rather wide view... I would think that Guardians and such would be-able to see a Dread...

Ok ... so you don't get it.

I've had many encounters with the Harvesters (back when they were all traders and refused to pay a pirate ... but now they're killing smugglers ... go figure).

Anyway ... if you're not going to respond to MY role play, why would you expect me to respond to YOURS?

You would need the LN saying theere was a system error for me to believe it--otherwise I'd just pass it off as a pirate trick.
