Guten Abend. I have as many names as I have voices, but you may call me The Gardener. I never thought I'd be able to come up with an excuse to seek audience with the infamous great heretic herself, yet, it seems times are changing.
Past pleasantries, I come seeking insight with a project I've recently taken up. Attached will be my notes on the project, but to cut a long story short, I've found a way to induce, let's say, autonomous reactions from cadavers. Reactions that hint at the presence of some primitive form of observer. I'd like to know if you've any notes to share related to tormenting the dead, nervous system anomalies, and any such other interesting things.
<<< The Gardener, it pleases us to hear your voice.
Some names are never swallowed by time, no matter how many we take,
we remain the Heretic. >>>

<<< We attempted similar experiments with our lost kin, though the work was left adrift.
The aim was to shape the next step of flesh’s evolution, and to forge it as a weapon.
An abomination, born between Machine and Light.
Perhaps your path may find insight within these reports.
The “Primitive Observer” you describe, yes, we glimpsed such traces before,
though never pursued them deeply.
Should you desire it, we will lend our assistance further. >>>
Your notes seem to be an invaluable step for this, so I believe I will leave you with a permanent access to mine. Two heads are better than one, or so they say.
Since I believe this project has some merit regarding conflict in general, I will be moving it to Basel Rock, section 7. Perhaps rooms 10-19, I don't believe they're being used for anything. If you have any flashes of inspiration, do feel free to drop by.
<<< We shall consider your offer.
The insight yours granted us does seem intriguing to ours,
and it might even align with future research that we will conduct ourselfs. >>>

we remembered some other insights that might be useful on the path of yours.>>>
