MEMORIES OF THE PAST

Order vs Nomads • Omicron Zeta • October, 12 • 18:00 UTC

BACKGROUND

CV-Guardian was the faithful companion of the 34th Brigade for two years. This Hathor was created back in 827 A.S. and served with the 16th Strike Squadron, which formed the Brigade's core. In short, the ship had a long history.

But every story must end somewhere. And so it did on February 2, 832. According to detailed records, the 341st Wing received orders to transfer the ship to the Carthage Shipyard in Omicron Mu for major repairs. Since the ship was located on Dabadoru, the route lay through the Omicron Zeta system.

According to the same detailed records, the ship and its escort jumped into the system and crossed at least halfway, where they were attacked by Nomads. This wasn't a planned ambush: it's believed the wing was simply unlucky enough to cross paths with the Nomads, while the Nomads were lucky enough to find prey. And the "Guardian" was that prey.

As soon as the Nomads spotted the enemy, they immediately rushed to the attack. The wing was destined to engage and emerge victorious, but Carthage never met the "Guardian" in its drydocks.

The gunboat was destroyed halfway to Omicron Mu, in Omicron Zeta.

EVENT DETAILS

This RP event is designed to reveal the lore of the Brigade and the old Tau Wing. You'll have the opportunity to experience the vibe of those years by stepping into the cockpit of one of the ships that formed the core of the old 341st Wing. Of course, you'll have PvP, which is clearly stated here. But the event's priority is lore and storytelling.

Anyone wishing to participate on the Order's side must announce their intentions on the forums. We will provide you with a character with the callsign "Tau" and a serial number. Since each of the ships will be used in the future (including for the 34th Brigade's series of internal events), you will be able to keep them. You will also have access to a list of characters with brief descriptions in the spoiler below.

You can only roleplay these characters during this event.

[+]Characters list
  • Commandant Matthew Miller - CV-Guardian - Captain of the gunboat "Guardian," who joined the Order along with Adam Helson in the final days of the Second Gallic War. Matthew is an exemplary officer for the position of Commandant, and some of his superiors even consider him a future Brigade commander. He is quite disciplined, and his manner, reminiscent of a Bretonian nobleman, creates a special charisma around his personality. Although he seems "unsuited" to work in such a serious organization, along with his manners, he possesses sufficient skill to pose serious competition to anyone who dares to speak out against the Brigade, Order or humanity in general. That's why he's here.

  • Commandant Clotilda Sorg - Tau-1 - A former Rhineland Miliatry officer who defected to the Order during the existence of the 16th Attack Squadron, she was Adam Helson's second-in-command (after Matthew Miller, of course), often carrying out his assignments to cover Brigade agents and carry out complex combat missions. Clotilde is a professional pilot who can explain every detail of every fighter in Sirius. She has a distinctive personality, preferring to dominate both on the battlefield and in interactions with others (in a humorous manner, of course). If anyone were to embody the 341st Wing, it was she. That's why she leads the 341st Wing.

  • Lieutenant Tyler Meser - Tau-7 - A pirate in his most typical, stereotypical form. With one exception: he's extremely smart and cunning. That's why he ended up in the Order, doing dirty work even before joining the Brigade. And when these qualities are combined with the ability to kill without mercy, you get a combustible mixture. Tyler manages to throw dust in everyone's eyes with his calm, separated from his uncontrollable rage by a thin wall. He certainly shouldn't be rude, as anyone who serves in the Brigade knows. However, he loves his unit and is ready to stand by it to the end. And as long as Clotilda and his older brother Jacob is by his side, he won't risk doing anything he shouldn't.

  • Commander Jacob Meser - Tau-8 - Tyler's older brother, who began his career in the Order in the same way as his only sibling. They both joined the Order solely for their skills in cunning and cruelty. But Jacob is much calmer and more disciplined, and therefore acts as a mentor and tutor to his younger brother. He had no choice in the matter, at the time. Clotilde trusts him more than anyone else, making him her right-hand man and often replacing her in command of the Tau wing when her immediate superior is unable to lead men into battle.

  • Lieutenant Andrey Kamylov - Tau-2 - Once one of the Coalition's ideologically committed officers, he is now a political refugee from their lands, who disappeared somewhere in Sirius and then found himself in the Order. A professional pilot who, like many Coalition soldiers, prefers the hard argument of several powerful guns to soft words. Although he left the Coalition, he still believes in its ideas and is often skeptical of those who criticize the Coalition for anything. He loves ballet, considering it the epitome of art, and refers to himself as a "ballerina with a hammer." Considering he pilots an Anubis full of Magma Hammers, there is a grain of truth to this. He is not to be underestimated.

  • Lieutenant Hiroki Kinoshita - Tau-11 - A ex-Dragon who joined the Order through the standard recruitment program. He spent most of his service conducting combat operations for the Dragons in Kusari territory, which earned him the organization's attention. He is a good friend of Koji Yasu. He believes in the traditions of his House and often follows them, as does his fellow freind. He is humble and kind, but his kindness should not be mistaken for weakness: on the battlefield, he is still dangerous and capable of delivering death as easily as any member of the Tau wing.

  • Ensign Andry Scott - Tau-5 - A former graduate of the Osborne Academy, he was once a promising Liberty Fleet officer who defected to the Order during the Blackout. He is distinguished by his dedication to the Order's ideals, initiative, and a number of positive ratings for piloting the "Bastet Mk II". Although officially considered an exemplary agent of the Order, within the 341st Wing, he often enjoys joking around on the radio and chatting. In short, he's a positive character in every sense. However, Clotilda Sorg, 341st Wing commander, often chastises him for this behavior. He also received some reprimands for attempting to flood in radio communications. However, this didn't make him hate his commander.

  • Ensign Anna Simonova - Tau-4 - A former Coalition officer who joined the Order through a standard recruitment drive. If you can call it that, of course. Officially, she's considered missing in action by the Coalition. She was noticed for her skills as a pilot and her ironclad character, which often rivals Clotilda's. Anna is a very straightforward and strict woman, extremely disciplined, yet flexible in her thinking. Many consider her a supporter of the Order's code, but only the 341st Wing knows that beneath the mask of a "thick-headed woman" lies a far more dangerous individual.

Event rules:

  1. You can only choose one of the above characters if you wish to participate on the Order's side. We're focusing on RP, not simple /l1, /l2 PvP. So, by taking on the role of one of the characters, you play that character.
  2. For the first 30 minutes, the entire Order group will be stationed near Dabadoru Station in Omicron Delta. You'll have time to get to know your characters, chat, and conduct a RP to prepare the CV-Guardian for the scheduled departure to Omicron Mu.
  3. The battle will take place when both sides are in orbit around the planet Palmyra, in Omicron Zeta. CV-Guardian cannot use any regens, and it will not have an armor upgrade.
  4. Nomads can perform a RP before the clash, which Order players must play along with, but the clash must occur.
  5. Nomad side's primary goal is to destroy the CV-Guardian, losing as few players as possible before that point.
  6. Nomad players are given the choice to continue the fight or leave the battle. The outcome of the event will be determined by the difference in the number of survivors on both sides. If the Nomad side chooses to continue the fight and the Order's number of survivors reaches 3, the Nomad side is automatically considered the winner and has achieved the worst possible outcome for the Order.

Taking into account some feedback from Nomads playerbase, it has been decided to rewrite the event rules for the greater convenience of both parties. The changes will be announced later, but they will be published before the event to accommodate everyone.

Registration is open until then.
