Ring ring ring, it's your favorite Inner Circle guy,
Got a project and a problem, neither of which seem particularly solvable by myself. I know all y'all ain't fond of superstar dev activities, but this one might be regarding our safety. And total Sirius domination. Possibly. I don't want to cause a panic with trash-tier rumors, but also the numbers are not looking great right now.
Anyway, problem first. I've been scraping the Neural Net with a bunch of login tokens that the Argonaut didn't get to wipe before the Blues blasted it. Whole lotta fluff and nothing particularly useful, which was expected. I know how the Mitchel servers work, you don't get more than eight or so hours before the encryption shifts. Did, however, pull a bunch of low-level radio channels. Buncha same old, "Cardamine, Cardamine, everybody wants Cardamine", some patrol hails to Manhattan, things like that. The encryption hasn't shifted for them, yet, so I assume they're the lowest tier of security possible.
On that list was a set of LSF complaining about a new deployment in the direction of Kusari. As cool as it would be to let Liberty fight Kusari and get off our cases, unless you've got an army in your pocket fit to take on any and/or every portion of Kusari's fleet anywhere, all the time, it would be way safer for us if Liberty stays home. Maybe it's nothing, but if you have any useful connections or notable breaches, any information is useful information right now.
Speaking of "Kusari, anywhere, anytime", the project: I know you guys have a modular base kicking around. Do you mess with that Jump Drive tech that kicks around on the open market? And if so, are you able to modify ones projector array to match a set of maintenance equations with zero tolerance? Zero tolerance part is mandatory, it may be a "delete the universe if you mess up" type of case. And, you know, I like existing and all that. I don't need it mounted in a ship or anything right now, I just want to run some physics sims with it to prove a concept, but if the concept holds up in some semblance of stability, I might go and see about putting it on a ship.
We've been a bit more active 'round Galileo these days, y'know snooping 'round the fleets while they're doing their big macho posturing bullshit, bumping snoops trying to take the backroads etc. Don't got an in right now for specifics, but I can tell ya LSF and ramping up like wild, especially logistics.
And yeah, you're right. Which pisses me off but whatevs. Would be better if it was like the Good Old Days ™ where the big boys go have slap fights with their big fleets, but if the Kusari navy just drops on our Coch we're gonna be fucked big time, even if the Xenos stepped up to help.
On the Drive stuff, we haven't been super hands on with that kinda tech since we cut off lil' Ageira inside job in Texas a while back. We did poach a whole buncha people back then, so we got the contacts, just don't have the labs set up.
Howevs, we are brewing another big expansion to the Makerspace so that could be changing soon. Could be especially worth with all the hubub at the Coch these days, yeah? Plus, no reason we can't crank out the same kinda open market tech Ageira's cooking anyway. So yeah uhhh, give us a few mo's, we might have a solution for ya.
You love to hear it, hey? "Solution" is one of my top ten favorite words.
I'll kick around LSF's hovels a little bit, see if I can figure out any specifics. Getting past the Mitchel and Fairbanks servers' absolutely obsessive security is never fun, but hey, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.
Also, just a heads up, I put out a patch for the Spyglass Scanner line. Nothing huge, just a data monitor for some specific emissions I'm concerned about. My main target is all those Minified Spyglass Scanners we put out into the grey market over the years, they're kicking around far and wide, and as long as the monitor doesn't eat up noticeable resources, it won't concern anyone. Just looking for the readings that this Kusari tech should be putting out, in the event that it works.
Alright, that should be it from me. I'll keep in touch if anything hits the fan.
