. . .

There is a distinct warmth in the voice, despite the hint of fatigue.

"I was very happy to hear your suggestion, mister CS. It is truly pleasant to be heard, understood, and offered a well-thought-out solution. Even though I have not spent much time with you yet. Yet another confirmation that I was not mistaken in my decision, and I hardly need more."

"Although, I must admit..."

A small, soft chuckle.

"... I did not expect to return so soon to some of the things that are so typical of the Junkers. During the time I had to spend with these people of dubious goals and even more dubious methods, such practices became very familiar to me. My brother did such things on a regular basis... Although, of course, not on such a scale."

"As for the Coalition, I agree — I didn't expect our paths to converge completely and irrevocably. They probably don't either, hence the reason for their proposed "alternative". Looking at the broader Coalition as a whole... A healthy seed has sprouted into an ugly, mutated weed, which we will have to uproot sooner or later."

"As you advised, I... Brought some things to Saverne. I allowed myself a slight deviation from the course in order to... More likely satisfy the possible predilections of those on whose shoulders this titanic work will fall. The following was unloaded for the dockmaster, with my best wishes:"

"In the meantime! I have contacts among some... Hard-working people. I think I can provide this ship with heavy armament. And, perhaps, a jump drive."

"I think it'll turn out to be a real gem."

Amidst the red static, her voice is audible, although interrupted by incomprehensible, crackling, grinding sounds.

"Things are going smoothly on Saverne. I probably should give you a little update, mister CS."

"First, the cruiser's hull has been completely restored. A fairly simple, yet important task. We've taken care to address the design flaws and reinforced the hull as much as possible. This has slightly impacted maneuverability, but the advanced armor will allow us to survive under heavy fire for much longer, should such an unpleasant need arise. I hope it won't, but... Can never be too careful!"

"Secondly, we've made some changes to the heavy armament. Specifically, we've installed the Phalanx heavy autocannon, originally designed by Kishiro. Turned out it is quite useful to have access to the black market when it comes to weaponry. In addition, we've installed two forward-firing RH-x3 "Crimson" Blasters. A curious coincidence in the name... and perhaps fateful: I've discovered that these weapons, like many other Hessian technologies, adapt well to my needs."

"Thirdly, we've installed a Minified Spyglass Scanner. A very interesting Hacker technology, although we had to, of course, ensure it doesn't have anything "extra" on it... Just in case."

"Fourthly, we've installed a Hyperspace Matrix. It could be useful for coordinating our movements with the "Falkenhorst"."

"I've added the visual version of this information to attachments in this message. Now, there are two things left. The first and most important is to optimize the power core. Unfortunately, the Coalition hasn't responded to my request regarding this technology as of yet, so we're trying to figure it out ourselves. One way or another, it's just a matter of time."

"Second one... Optional, but extremely useful. The cloaking system. Much like the one Falkenhorst has. I imagine it would be, mm, quite amusing to drop two cruisers on our enemies out of nowhere. But that system can be added later."

"And one more thing... After we returned the bodies of the fallen to their families in the Coalition, some of them contacted us. Wishing, as they said, to continue the glorious work of their fallen loved ones, even if it meant joining the ranks of the Bundschuh. Of course, I don't quite believe that; as I told Chevalier, at best, they're motivated by a desire to escape their "glorious" leaders. At worst, they're spies and potential saboteurs."

"And yet, I've decided to accept them. Most of the team, including key positions, will still be made up of our people. And I will keep a very close eye on the guests."

"Even if the Coalition has no use for these souls, I will certainly find one."

"Oh to see this ship fly colors of anarchy, once a blade of the communist navy, its abandonment now has it under the wing of Platform Anarchism. While the ship will likely be involved in combat operations, I wish to talk to you about delivering more than just war on this vessel... One that we must all remember to bring ourselves back to when we remind ourselves of what we fight for under all the blood we wear.

"We'll claim salvage rights to the ship and work it up ourselves, since they're willing to issue us a vessel in fresh off their factories with a lot of clauses attached, we'll just fix one they've decided to discard and forget about any of those... Monitoring arrangements.

"But as for the a crew, after being lost and forgotten for so long, the rescue from the deep omegas was unlikely to happen that far from Coalition space, a life changing rescue is one thing we can at least offer them. The choice to go home or to join us is only fair to anyone in that situation, I can never know their personal circumstances at that point but the Platform is about offering that benefit of the doubt first. If they're going to be serving on a paramilitary ship, then they need orientation and protection from assassins and sabotage... An excuse for early monitoring I suppose too. If Volgograd's assembly have decided that those who join under our flag in pursuit of common goals is too far, then the response is the same to any authoritarian giant, we offer refuge to those who willingly admit needing it.

"I've been taking a few things from the teachings of the consecrated archives, a place of shared knowledge and a duty to preserve within the DM, revisiting what I salvaged in the teachings of the Void... in how to traverse her stellar expanse. I've had almost a decade work within the volatile space Thuringia, whilst this region is unforgiving in its environment, it is an archive of past experiments unfinished or functionally dormant. I will go into more development on this later on, but my request to you is for you to host one of our grand advancements on your vessel... You may utilize it at discretion towards the collective goals of the Platform, what I ask in return is readings of Jump-Space during your travels and notifications of anything unusual or anomalous.

"I will go into this device with a bit more in the future, but this should give you a basic idea of what this interacts with on your vessel

"The "Augur" is a device with the goal to decrease the chances of being thrown out Jump-Space breach... We've seen Earhart, these missing ship reports that match the wrecks located in that system could mean our important paramilitary elements could be at risk... But I don't want to stop there, sooner or later we need to stay ahead of these natural disasters if we're going to be running evacuations using natural jump holes. This will likely only be available to heavier capital ship vessels for the moment, highlighting the importance of getting that docking bay up and running to act as a mother ships at a moments notice for tactical wings. It'll map out and read passively information as you traverse jump space, collection information on: Traversal position imbalances, sudden changes of phase-alignment, external environmental affects, and graviton disruptions within the Jump Space passages.

"If you're willing to accept a way for us to study the Void herself, I'll have Tennstedt rally what fabrication labs it can for the "Augur" module, and contact one of our allies on the chances of a dry-dock being available... Otherwise I'm going to have to contact Saverne for a engineering team to do this under hanger-machines and more manpower. Definetly have to do a spot of 'cargo liberation' to keep the dockmaster happy and supplies up to date... Worthwhile looking at what we can shake down on the lanes.

"I'm proud of you CV, you fly the flag well, but now under a steel shell to call your home."

"Ah, wonderful! An impressive piece of technology, indeed... Something like this in our hands could become a key advantage if traditional interstellar travel becomes less reliable. Which is quite likely, given humanity's lack of a complete understanding of it."

"I must admit, I... am very pleased. You, mister CS, are a very far-sighted person. And that makes your trust in me even more flattering. Just as the fact that we share the same vision regarding the protection of my new... Assistants. I am certain they will be very grateful."

"Needless to say, you will always be welcome on "Himbeersee". However, given your workload, I will ensure that you are provided with all current data and records regarding Jumps via a secure channel. If anything particularly unusual occurs, I will personally report it; either here or in person."

"I suspect that further advances in this technology may allow us not only to stabilize Jumps, but also... to do the opposite. Who knows, maybe we'll see the day when the Kaiser himself "suddenly" Jumps right into our, um... arms."

"Now that would be funny, wouldn't it?~"
