Due to declining standards on the Discovery server and the lack of honor and mutual respect among players, the Administration is hereby officially introducing a code of honor. This decision establishes standards of conduct on the server and imposes certain restrictions within the game, but it also helps avoid many controversial situations and establish clear boundaries.

In the long term, this will reduce the burden on the Administration team in handling rule violation reports. Players have three months to prepare before these rules come into full effect. We are also open to discussion in this thread as long as it is discussed within the server rules.

Quote:
The Pilot's Code of Honor is a set of moral standards set forth in the Constitution of the Game Community, the charters of clans, groups, pilot unions, and communities, passed down from generation to generation as traditions mandatory for every pilot. This code does not conflict with the generally accepted rules of conduct and traditions of Freelancer fans. The concepts of honor, valor, and freedom are based on a deep awareness of one's patriotic and civic duty and are a continuation of the traditions of older generations of pilots.

The highest authority determining whether a pilot's actions comply with the requirements of the Code of Honor is the Pilot's Court of Honor. Affiliation to any clan, group, union, or fraternity, as well as free pilots, regardless of their chosen behavioral style and role, obliges every self-respecting player to adhere to the Pilot's Code of Honor, which includes the following requirements:

  1. BASIC PROVISIONS

1,1, When intending to duel (except for attacking while performing roleplay), the pilot must warn the opponent of their intention and, after the battle, thank the opponent (GF or MC) for the fight.

  2. STRICTLY PROHIBITED:

2.1. Using regens in battle with another player or when attacked by another player, regardless of the current situation.
    2.2. Docking is prohibited.
2.3. Killing a player below level 30. Exceptions include the pilot's consent to PVP, or defending the pilot when attacked by a player below level 30.
2.4. Illegal use of clan tags.

  3. PERMITTED:

    3.1. Pirates, terrorists, and renegades:

3.1.1. Wearing a identifying tag (either a generally accepted one, or a personal one).
3.1.2. Offering a fee to merchants; if they refuse, destroy them.
    3.1.3. Destroy law enforcement.
3.1.4. Destroy everything and everyone (for terrorists and lawless individuals)

    3.2. Lawfuls:

    3.2.1. Wear a designation tag.
3.2.2. Protect peaceful pilots and traders.
3.2.3. Destroy pirates, terrorists, and lawless individuals.

  4. PROHIBITED:

    4.1. Pirates, terrorists, and renegades:

4.1.1. Earning a living through trade.
4.1.2. Have a character with a lawful reputation (as a last resort, you can have a reputation of none).
4.1.3. Kill a trader after they have paid a fee.

    4.2. Lawfuls:

4.2.1. Have a character with a pirate, terrorist, or lawless reputation (as a last resort, you can have a reputation of none).
4.2.2. Charge a fee from other players.

Designation tags for the Freelancer faction:

    [R]nickname – terrorist, outlaw
    [X]nickname – pirate
    [T]nickname – merchant
    [H]nickname – mercenary
    [M]nickname – military
    [S]nickname – smuggler
    [P]nickname – policeman.
[N]nickname – neutral (no first attacks allowed).

Also, I fully support converting discovery into a no-holds-barred multiplayer arma deathmatch sandbox simulator, with like 75% fewer racial slurs

75% fewer racial slurs than Discovery? Or 75% fewer racial slurs than arma?

I support 75% fewer racial slurs than arma because that's like a 40% increase in racial slurs here.

I'll do something about my superiority complex when I cease to be superior.
