FR14 - Official Faction roundel requests

Faction Right 13 allows for the submission of a unique roundel for exclusive use by the faction. Holo-roundels are small semi-translucent projections that are mounted on a ship’s wings or hull, usually displaying a simple icon or logo.

For roundels to be mounted, the ship has to be specifically hardpointed to accommodate them. Due to the sheer number of ships in Discovery, this is likely to be a slow roll out. The list of ships hardpointed to accommodate roundels can be found below.

When exercising this right, Official Factions can nominate one additional ship to receive roundel hardpoints.

Longsword - BW HF

Stiletto - BW HF

For a roundel to be implemented, the Official Faction must submit a copy of the desired logo. This must be:

256x256 pixels.
Saved as a png. on a transparent background.

Roundels should have simple designs. Due to the size of the projection in-game, fine detail and text will not be legible.

Your submitted roundel will be automatically mounted when your Official Faction ID is mounted, so long as your ship has appropriate roundel hardpoints.

Alternately, a faction can specify that roundels should only be mounted on certain types of ships, or that roundels are mounted on all ships except specified types. This may be useful for factions that run undercover characters.

Some ships cannot be hardpointed for roundels due to unusual surface geometry or a lack of flat surfaces.

Some roundels may be rejected either because the quality of the image is sub-standard, or the image itself is not suitable for Discovery and its setting. No anime waifus mounted on Eagles.

If the Official Faction loses its status, the roundel will be removed.
