The Edelweiss is to deploy to Galileo to monitor emerging developments between Kusari and Liberty. It will not engage unless absolutely necessary in the case of self-defense, nor is it to break cover or put itself in a position to be detected.

We will expect regular reports.

RNC Edelweiss to BDM Command:
Long range reconnaissance patrol in Galileo system uneventful thus far.
Since last skirmish, both sides have largely stayed out of system, aside from smaller assets scouting.

Footnote:
A large cargo vessel carrying an enormous volume of arms and munitions was detected.
As it is not our problem, maintained stealth and allowed it to continue unobstructed.
The volume of munitions being shipped into Liberty is interesting.

There has been a shift in priorities - while your orders to monitor Liberty-Kusari tensions in Galileo remain in place, we are in need of a new contact with the militant Zoners in Pennsylvania. We need only a point of contact and we can dispatch a separate envoy to take care of the rest.

Copy, will dispatch a shuttle to local Zoner facilities in Gallieo to see what information can be gathered prior to penetration of Liberty space.

Penetration of Liberty space itself while likely take some time, I intend to avoid jump drive usage as we do not know how adapt Liberty forces are at detecting the emissions, and the fewer chances they get to benchmark scan data the longer we have until worrying about them being able to realize when we have used them.

What I do know allready is that the same Zoner that runs Bethlehem station in Pennsylvania also runs the local Freeport in Gallieo, 26.

I am unaware currently which system she is in, the agents I will dispatch in Galileo will attempt to determine such prior to our infiltration.

In a best case scenario, contact can be arranged without penetration of Liberty borders, if not I may return to Rhineland space and infiltrate thru alternate point of entry, agents whom have entered via posing as crew on local merchants have reported Liberty securing Colorado due to tensions with Kusari.
While my vessel is capable of evading notice, I would rather remove the chance entirely for obvious reasons.

I will update once the shuttle returns with more information.

Understood.

I have located the proper people on Bethlehem to relay messages.

Transit time for delivery of the messages is unknown, they will not transmit directly and will instead have an unknown local vessel relay it directly, but without adjusting from its normal schedule.

Once the meeting is arranged things should speed up.


As for Bethlehem station itself, it is a fairly typical Zoner facility that has been upgraded for more self sustainability over the years.

Politically, while most of the station has at least some degree of sympathy if not outright support for the militants,sources tell us that the current administration has tamed open support simply to deny Liberty excuses to further crack down on them.

They apparently made attempts at diplomatic contact with Liberty to allow safe economic expansion of the region of the system their station is in.

Liberty apparently was quite rude in its rejection of that attempt, to the point of healing the riifts that had devolped between the militants and station for even attempting such diplomacy.

The nearby astroid field is believed to contain at least some useful materials but still has not been mined or seriously surveyed, or if it has the Zoners are sitting on the data.

As a side mission once our current operations are completed, it may be advantageous to find ways in which our government might undercut Liberty's narrative of the system, perhaps have one of our corporations look into ways with which they might engage in trade with the local Zoner civilian population.
Using such trade channels would allow us a propaganda win as well as a safer avenue to ship non restricted goods to the militants without causing undue suspicion, beside the fact that our more covert shipments would not need to provide any mundane cargo, allowing more to be sent at once.

Obviously I do not know your plans, and simply offer thoughts.

I have made contact with local PLF forces on Bethlehem, and given a message for them to send to their leadership.

They should soon be in contact regarding the envoy.

Good work - our envoy is en route to the Pennsylvania system. If you have any additional information about the contact and meeting location that could be helpful - upload them to this line. Our logistical support fleet is currently evacuating our assets on Barrier Gate to Fontana due to some sort of calamity that seems to have struck Coronado. If you require anything, we can deploy a convoy to your operations area while they are in the region.
