I was under the impression that the [LN] was run by Haste- it's clear I'm wrong here. My apologies.
the CDI - In reality, I've only ever had positive ingame encounters with.
The GMG- over the years have repeatedly got away with breaking rules, admin/staff backhanders, even then getting players they are abusing sanctioned for retaliating.
There is no conspiracy theory behind anything, it's fact.
Gaslight as you will.(Pun not intended). This was not the correct place to air the dislike of the players behind the GMG faction for their negative impact on the server- I was wrong to highlight it in this thread, I won't do this again.
I appreciate that me highlighting the crap done in the past by the players associated with the faction do not help move forward- I shall not continue to highlight them in the interest of server progression.
The over all thing here is that the changes made toward official factions and them actually having an input is a step back to recovering disco to how it was originally. Assuming it actually holds weight and isn't a politician promise, is a good thing.

Playing 4 minutes per day is no interest in the game, not waiting for OF rework. +1 to that sentiment, a lot of people put in a lot of effort to keep their OFs, the parole should go to factions that were at 2 days or near it

And if that ends up true then they're going to go once again quickly. Considering that it was also a winter break season and the season where many, many other games come out to play I am not too phased by things there.
In the end if all of these factions go, oh shit we actually did die we need to be active now and do, then its only a net positive for Discovery overall. If they don't then you wont see them this year anyway. It's only fair to be unilateral.
It can't be hard to see for any reasonable person why it can be difficult to motivate to play the game, when you have some of the posts in this thread serving as an example of the unprovoked treatment you are subject to even when you don't. Any perceived rule violations should be submitted via report.
Obviously this decision has cut the celebrations of some people this community short. More positively, I choose to view this as a second wind and may actually now find the motivation to spend some time and effort on Discovery, rather than simply fading out. Commiserations to those that upsets, and the reverse to those who feel a player sticking around might instead be a good thing.
The absolute fucking state of the community that we're picking on 2 (two) groups for the sake of it AND on top of that spreading blatant misinformation about another (poor Haste apparently moved over from the BAF dev cabal to the LN one).
Please get real and go touch some grass or play something else for a while to refresh your mind.
In fact, if there was a faction that consisted mainly and almost exclusively out of devs or contributors, it was Aoi in its final year or so. Can see how well that went
