There are a number of operations to consider but one is time sensitive and of particular importance to destabilising the status quo in the Republic's favour in the long term. Allow me to indulge in a preliminary briefing so that you can confirm if you're willing to involve your compatriots.

Amongst the talent employed by Cryer Pharmaceuticals is a scientist by the name of 'Eric Moore'. I've had my eye on his career for some time now. I believe their talents could be put to better uses given the opportunity for a proper conversation to persuade them so.

They are expected to be relocating from Syracuse Station to their research facility in Cambridge shortly. This may even occur within the week. It would be most fortunate if Eric's journey was interdicted by Republicans who hold the fine doctor for ransom for a few days. That would give plenty of time for a proper conversation.

I am asking for your cooperation in this operation, and not my compatriots within the Revolutionary Army in this particular matter, because I seek to minimise the risk of our adversaries discerning the involvement of the Coalition. I hope the trust I'm willing to place in our Republican friends is not misplaced?

Your target is a certain Dr Eric Moore. Fourty-seven. Six foot one. I've attached a copy of a rather artistic portrait from Cryer's 'About Us' Neural page. They are a senior member of Cryer Pharmaceutical's microbiology department.

That's right. Kidnap. Ransom. No brain damage. A little roughing up will probably help but it's imperative that whatever happens on his misadventure the Doctor is able to resume their duties on release. After some compassionate leave, of course.

Ransom to whoever you think might pay you the prettiest penny. I'd suggest Cryer. They'll likely care the most about the dear doctor. I only ask that the Coalition and my involvement is kept hidden.


As for flight plan and escort, I've received intelligence that they shall be leaving Syracuse Station at 19:00 tomorrow. Flight plans borrowed from Curacao reveal their wing will be passing through the system. With no reason to divert, the route on the lanes will be direct. I would imagine at least. One never truly knows. Five Cryer security craft have been pulled from active patrol duty in Colorado at that time with little reason given. Of particular note, a gunship.

I report operational success, as of 20:20 Sirian-standard yesterday.

We lost more resources on this than I'm particularly content with. The exact details of the operation are still coming to light as we finish debriefing the survivors, but it would appear the primary objective has been achieved.

Dr. Moore has been secured onboard Connacht and moved to a tertiary holding facility in Grey-Sector. Only RPA officials are permitted access to this area of the base, but I've already gone ahead and prepared some credentials for yourself. Our demands have been delivered and we're ready to receive.

Thankfully, there were a few survivors, some of my best too. They'll be out of action for a while.
The Harriers we committed to this operation did not fare so well however and I'm growing increasingly concerned at the rate we're burning through our stock. I'm starting to think this whole Molly-home-grown-project began at the wrong time...

Now, the Ransom. The contents seized were nothing, a load of stale air, not that Cryer needs to know that, bad for business. That said, I had heard there was indeed something aboard the Doctor's vessel, but we've yet to extract any data from our surviving vessels on the specifics of just what that was. If we find out, you'll hear.

Your reluctance to key us into what this is all about, isn't filling me with the assurances I need and given our good Doctor's escort complement, he must be some serious piece of work. So, if you want a moment alone with him, then I'm going to need some collateral.

I see.

Allow me then, Wynne, to share with you the true nature of the Doctors importance. I wish for you to understand that my reluctance is not born of mistrust but of a caution learned and rewarded. For this operation to be a true success, security on who knows it's true nature is of paramount importance. I am going to choose to trust you.

As I have shared previously, Dr. Eric Moore is a senior member of Cryer's microbiology department. What I have not yet shared is that the Doctor was and is a bacteriologist involved in the corporation's hot labs project focused on eradicating the bacteria that threatens those who live on Carlisle. They have knowledge of the mechanisms used in their "clean zones", expertise in the bacterium's nature, and access to samples of the bacteria used for research. I suspect if there was a missing cargo, it may have been such a sample.

My intention is to leverage his knowledge and access to strike a blow against your enemy. To achieve that, I want that conversation, alone, with the Doctor and our enemies kept none the wiser.

I am sure you understand now my hesitancy to share a little too much. Do we have an understanding, Wynne?
