This is Grey, checking in.

To all my fellow colleagues—

I’ve hit a bit of a wall in my research due to a shortage of materials, so I’ve opened up a grant for anyone willing to take on a bit of risk.

Here’s what I need: at least 500 units of live alien organisms, in good condition, delivered to Ames Research Station. But there’s a twist, I’m looking for 500 units from each source you can find.

So far, I know these organisms can be found in the following systems:
  • Omicron Beta
  • Omicron Theta
  • Omicron Zeta
If you happen to discover any new fields, please report them to the Pytheas Exploration Phalanx—your findings could be just what we need.

We’ll be paying 2,000,000 credits per successful delivery and 500.000 credits per new field discovery to the brave captains and their crews who get the job done.

Let me know if you’re up for the challenge.

Grey, out.

Greetings,

I would take this opportunity, if any of our explorers outfitted with an appropriate vessel is available, to acquire some specific ultra low temperature organisms found in far distant places. The places may not be reachable by todays cycle but may become available at another point in time. I can lead you to such places as I have been involved on 'Escort Duty' for such places beforehand. Extracting these specific, strange organisms will be up to the explorer and scientist with the appropriate equipment.

Schwarz out

[Alien Organisms delivery from Sigma 19 field]

Greetings, Grey Kalish! Francuasa Martz online.

I managed to deliver the cargo safely to the Ames Research Station, and even more than planned. In total, we delivered 650 Organisms instead of 500.

But the most interesting thing is that we discovered a new mining field in Sigma-19. Given the data you provided, Gray, I was certain that traces of Organisms could also be found in the systems bordering the Omicrons. Having previously participated in numerous convoys as an escort with other members of Phoenix, I decided to explore the systems we visited.

The first area that came to mind to check was the Sigma region, specifically the Sigma-17 and Sigma-19 systems. They both border the Omicron systems and could potentially harbor Alien Organisms. Before departure, I requested information from the HC regarding diplomatic relations between the Phoenixes and other factions, particularly the Core and the GMG, to understand how to negotiate with their representatives. I spent about a week in Sigma-17, interviewing local travelers and Core representatives, while also exploring some corners of the system myself. However, I was unable to find any traces of the Alien Organisms, and interviewing people from the Planet Kurile but also no positive results.

After that, I traveled to Sigma-19 and first decided to visit Gas Miner Ogashawa, believing I could find people who, due to their work, might possess the knowledge I needed. I had to interview numerous miners and survey vessel operators to get a hint on the unusually strong gravity level that, according to one worker, was detected in Donryu Cloud. Arriving at coordinates 3 Delta, I indeed detected a strange gravity level and it's source or rather two sources lead deep into the cloud.

As I moved deeper into the cloud, I noticed small biological traces of the Alien Organisms, but not themselves. This served as a path for me to follow, leading me into a spatial pocket containing two Planetoids. These space bodies weren't recorded on my charts or listed in the Phoenix library of discoveries, which piqued my interest. This was especially interesting when I noticed fragments of some kind, containing fully-fledged Alien Organisms, floating around their orbits. I suspect they may be present on the planetoids themselves, but entering their atmospheres is impossible due to the harsh conditions.

My subsequent journey to Kepler was uneventful, so to speak. I had to constantly check during the flight to ensure the Organisms in their containers were maintaining their previous parameters and that the integrity of the shell, through which they could escape, was intact. After about 12 days, thanks to your instructions, Gray, I finally arrived at the research station today and am writing this report to report my progress. I will fill out the data on the new Organism extraction site in Pytheas Exploration Phalanx shortly. Below I have attached the most beautiful and important footages, so don't expect photos from Sigma-17 and bars.

Ah, finally. Someone up to the task. I’ll start working on this batch as soon as possible. But first, credit where it’s due: the payment has been sent.

The Pytheas Exploration Phalanx will also be happy to pay you for that information.

Grey, out.

[Alien Organisms delivery from Omicron Beta field]

Greetings, Grey Kalish! Francuasa Martz online.

I managed to deliver the cargo safely to the Ames Research Station, and as in pervious time even more than planned. In total, we delivered 650 Organisms.

With already ready route way back took only five days, most of time during first delivery I searched for jump holes because my data map was expired due to fact some jump holes changed their placement or was collapsed. During this time when I contacted with HC to ask clarification about situation with Outcasts, I was notified about limitation in time caused with soon agreement expire with visiting of Outcasts territories.

It's not so interesting story as pervious one, well because You, Grey, provided information that Omicron Beta as system surely contain organisms inside itself space. Plus I already have some experience how to dealt with organisms, so it was good. However, even if it's obvious place looking on it under different angle or from different spot can surprise your mind.

Once I jumped in Beta scanner spotted alien organisms traces. In general they was everywhere, but not in such good state as from Planetoids in Sigma-19, so I spent not little amount of hours to find right way for rich spot. I found multiple giant asteroids, their form reminded me a broken parts planetoid but maybe it's just another strange space anomaly.

Surface of these asteroids was overfilled with samples of organisms and in same time very fragile, so if it's possible, probably, we can bring in that place a much bigger mining vessel to obtain more of it. However, they have one little minus. Level of radiation. It's bit more higher than I expected and require more protection measures from that when they will be placed inside cargo hold. Anyway, It's placed in coordinates 4/5 Echo in left bottom corner of those sectors.

Mining operation and it's delivery was calm, what is good but in some time want some adventure, yes? Crates with alien organism samples was loaded out to Ames Research Station after arriving on it. Below I have attached the most gracioous, might and interesting footages from Omicron Beta, well and some couple of extra footages from adventure. Soon I will depart once again into Omicron region for searching more samples for You, so I hope you will be ready to accept more of them.

Thanks for your dedication. I’ll put those organisms to the test as soon as possible.

I don’t recall seeing those massive asteroids in Beta. Those might even be responsible for the jump hole’s shift. I’ll submit a request to extend our access to the Outcast systems.

I’m sure these astronomical abnormalities will be of great interest to our scientists.

Grey, out.

[Alien Organisms delivery from Omicron Theta field]

Greetings, once again Grey Kalish! Francuasa Martz online.

And agin here full cargo hold of fresh Alien Organisms for you and your team. In Omicron Theta, on coordinates 3G (Three Gamma), could be found massive planetoid and air package around it, thankfully to convoys with other Phoenix members, Corfu administration and your information provided in briefing message, we know about this one.

It's impossible to collect samples of organisms within the air pocket itself, and planetary analysis shows no signs of any organic matter whatsoever due to the atmosphere being composed mostly of non-reactive noble gases. However, the planetoid's gravitational field attracts and holds asteroids, scattered throughout the Amarus Cloud, on it's own orbit. Organisms could be found there in sufficient concentrations for collecting. Unfortunately, some asteroids occasionally enter the planetoid's atmosphere, and the precious organisms are consumed in flames, reducing the amount of material that can be collected.

However, this isn't the only place where Organisms may be found. The Orinoco Cloud, on coordinates 2E (Two Echo), also have asteroids that contain traces of Organisms, but due to the inability to collect asteroids in one specific location and allow Organisms to strengthen themselves through interactions and absorb each other, collecting material will quite problematic without the deployment of additional ships and personnel. For reason to artificially force organisms to absorb each other at an accelerated rate. Otherwise samples concentration will be not sufficient.

In both cases low concentration of material, out of anchor point, like planetoids, caused with high traffic in those fields what negatively impacts the natural ability of organisms to reproduce and become stronger. Ships surveying in those areas without known corrupting and destroying possible points where they can accumulate and continue moving to other points.

For obvious reasons, I did not test Napo Cloud for organisms, too much risk. Below I have attached footages of my expedition in Omicron Theta.
