A Long March Orkney | Languedoc | Provence | Ile-de-France | Picardy | Champagne | Zurich Boss Fight (Possible Escort)
OVERVIEW
With the Jump Hole to Drake collapsed, consolidation of power for infected forces in the region was brought to an abrupt halt, leaving any stragglers stranded. Chief among such stragglers was the RNS-Vitrolles and its limited battlegroup, now called to make way towards Lausanne Complex to be deconstructed and repurposed. This, however, is not what their overlords intend for them. The Vitrolles and its escorts are a distraction, a forced repositioning of their enemies forces. Lives spent as tactical currency.
Excessive activity in the Taus have forced the Vitrolles out of hiding with its stealth suite being overworked, and now it is left to make a mad dash across Gallia's network of stable Jump Holes to reach a safe port. The Gallic Naval Intelligence had been aware of the battlegroups presence in the Taus, however, has not been able to pinpoint its position in Orkney until now. This crucial information is also known to the Gallic Navy, allowing them to position a blockade in The Giant's Causeway to stop the rogue battlegroup's advance.
Well aware of the battlegroups existence, and, more importantly to them, the battlegroup's notorious unwavering allegiance to the Gallic royal family and king, Maquis forces from Sournia Repair Yards also mobilize to impede the battlegroup's advances.
Despite being on a separate mission, the nearby Battleship Amenta also receives a call from high command, alerting them to the presence of several infected warships confirmed to be moving through Orkney deeper into Gallia. Sparing forces to intercept the battlegroup was a tall order, no pun intended, for the Battleship's crew, still tasked with recon and disruption in the Tau 61 system.
Ironically, beside them in hunting out the Vitrolles are the Vagrants from Tau 61 as well. Allowing the Vitrolles to reach its end goal would unreasonably strengthen the infected forces controlled by the Omicron Mind in the area, which would in turn hamper their own growth in the region.
Finally, aboard the Battleship Resurgent, a few of the most senior officers, from a time when they knew the name "Battleship Castillon" well, recognized the signature scale-mail plating of the Battleship Vitrolles. What they did not recognize, however, were the weaponry and the stealth device it employed. Having a show of Royal strength to display to the population whose growing resentment of the Gallic Union's military autocracy would surge their movement into the eyes of such dissenters, and perhaps shake some of the Maquisard propaganda among those dissidents, showing them another path. Wings of hopeful interceptors are sent out to investigate.
DETAILS
Rule Changes/Statements:
Five Event Ships will be launched from the south side of the Giant's Causeway, and tasked with taking a route to Zurich using only stable jump holes, except Champagne -> Zurich.
All event ships can be engaged by all IDs with ZoI in the Event Ships' location.
Death to event ships counts as death to NPCs, unless a player ship has done 20% or more damage in your blue message, in which case standard PvP death applies.
Gallic Royalists may choose to ally and escort the event ships, in which case they may join the event ship group. Ships choosing to do this will be counted as event ships for duration of the event, and must dock on the Vitrolles. Ships choosing to do this will be counted as Alien IDd ships for the duration of the event, and may be engaged by Royalists choosing not to ally with the event ships. PvP death timers will not apply to Royalists choosing to do this, and different rewards will be possible for Royalists choosing to do this.
Listed Rewards from event ships will be provided to ships doing the most total damage to each ship, assuming the ship is destroyed.

The Warwolf anti-capture failsafe aboard the RNS-Vitroles detonated upon the disabling of the ship's engines, incinerating much of the internal components of the Valor. Initial Gallic Naval Intelligence EVA teams recovered portions of unknown technology from the wreck. The torched body of Guillaume Henri Rizcochet was found at the bridge, alongside several other senior officers, forever frozen in a charred salute to the Last King of Gallia. The Gallic Naval Intelligence has come into possession of ten living prisoners of the Royal Navy, whose sealed containment unit was knocked away from the ship by the blast.
To receive your reward, please respond to this thread with your shipname. Event-Specific roundels are not currently implemented. Royal Gallia roundels can be provided until the Event roundels are implemented.
Royalist here, been a pleasure. I kinda do have two Royalist Gallia roundels though, does this mean I will get a third roundel that counts as a soon-to-be-replaced Event Roundel?
[GN]GNS-Toussaint here, would like my 4 x STALACTITE to WV-Mesrine (or whatever the way to get them you say). Thanks for the event, was fun (first FWG shot on me - I took it personal xd)

Nay, when the Event Roundels are implemented, they will replace your current ones.
I'll do something about my superiority complex when I cease to be superior.
"Whatever happened to catchin' a good old-fashioned passionate ass-whoopin and gettin' your shoes, coat, and your hat tooken?"
RNS-Ivoire. Had a blast. Shame it wasn't a bit more chaos because the Maquis lads were already dead, still a good time. For the eventual Roundel reward, I'd really appreciate them on: Lilith.Aceria

Done. Ensure that there's nothing that's going to trip the anti-cheat so you don't lose them. No refunds.
Nevermind, the admeme is wiser than the older ones and just put it in cargo instead of mounting them.
