Type: [Server?]
Bug: There are sometimes DSE ships spawning which are flat out hostile to you - despite the rep being neutral or friendly. In response, all Liberty lawfuls around you will also turn hostile. This has happened in Cortez with my Samura ship, in Colorado with my OSC ship and in New York with my Bristol ship. DSE bases are neutral, it seems to only affect NPCs.

Reproduction Steps:
  • Fly with a ship. You are good buddies with DSE.
  • DSE NPC comes along, allready flashing red IFF.
  • They declare war on you, along with all their friends. You get shot.

Additional Information: Extra notes go here

Do not repeat this template for unrelated bugs, each needs their own thread.

This is likely caused by DSE POBs that have you blacklisted, causing them to turn hostile during their siege window and flipping everything else nearby hostile through empathy.

That is unlikely. I do not recall any DSE POB near those areas. And why would they blacklist a freahly made ship? I do think this is a bug which should be looked into rather than putting it off like this.

There's a DSE POB at Denver and at Curacao, not sure about the New York issue. These POBs are just poorly managed and likely have their docking logic set in a way that's flipping you hostile.

I'm going to move this to invalid, as it is with almost 100% certainty an interaction with POB defmods, that are then causing cascading rep flips with nearby NPCs. This might not necessarily be DSE POBs, as any Liberty IFF'd POB using that defmod would flip allied NPCs red during its vulnerability window.

I'd suggest figuring out which POBs are nearby, and then pestering LibGov about getting them to use the nodock rather than hostile block setting.
