Vincent, come on, you should know what they say about assuming by now, surely? The partner slash client on this one is a group of Independents from up Ithaca's way, headed by one Heinrike.

Anyway, those details sound good to me, I'm sure I can bring Heinrike around to seeing it too. Worst case scenario, I'll cover their half out of pocket if they insist on up front payment. We're just waiting on the Hackers to give us the soft we need to unlock the flight computers and then we'll be able to get the F-10's down to Bristol Bay. I'll let you know once they're on the way.

Oh and as kind as the offer is, I think I'll pass on the keeping one for myself. Need something a hell of a lot better than an F-10 to get me to consider giving up the Skyline.

But, with business out of the way, what's this about Holzner then? You talk like that and I start assuming you're testing to see if I'm interested in the details.

No testing. Just advice. Matters are being taken care of right now, so there's no reason for you to get tangled up in Rheinland's affairs. They tend to be a lot uglier than what Liberty has to offer. Think starving dogs gnawing at their owner's leg for food.

Anyway. So you don't want one of the birds, that's fine. More credits for us then. I'll start requisitioning components as soon as the ships arrive. I have a sinking feeling it's The Core I'll have to talk to for some high end parts -- not a particular fan of that one, but what can you do? They've got a hold of that market.

Though...come to think of it. Bristol might be cheaper and more uhm...what was it? "Morally just"? I need to reserve space anyway on their Depot anyway. I might have some credibility with them given my relationship with the Xeno Alliance. We'll find out.

Well. If Kusari wasn't pissed before, it sure is now. The way I see it, there's loads of money to be made out of the upcoming conflict. On the other hand we've got three Houses staring down the proverbial barrel that is this new treasure trove. If I were you, I'd be taking bets on which one of them will fuck up and cause a catastrophe with these half-baked Jump Drive schematics -- my money is on Liberty, naturally. It wouldn't be the first time they mess up something like this.

While they do that, I'll sit in my lab enjoying the wonders of hybridized technology. And the occasional trip for the guys in green, of course. Now that Viper is back, things should get a whole lot more interesting.

And don't sell yourself short. Obviously you've been traveling around -- getting shit done the proper way.

I really miss being in the field, you know. The sheer thrill that comes out of chasing down targets... damn.
