I just had a conversation with someone who insisted that our allies in the Coalition are going to turn on us. I inquired why he was informing me of this. Apparently handing back pilots of the Britannia armed forces and police force, has earned some degree of trust or so he says. He cannot tell me how the information was acquired. I believe him to be a member of the britannian intelligence service.

I do not for a moment believe this but I have had little interaction with the Coalition. Therefore I believe this should be sent to the commanders and they will decide whether or not to send it further up the chain of command. A point was made that I showed a kindness and as a result this kindness was being shown to me in the form of a warning.

I will leave it up to command to decide whether this is disinformation or valid information Knight Joe Mc'de signing off.

Regardless, you were right to inform us.

The Bretonian Intelligence Service resorting to telling dangerous tales like this, waging some kind of information war, designed to tear our allegiances apart at the seams if we're so paranoid to believe them. Typical.

If you have any additional information on the identity of this suspicious informant, please share it. Names, ship specs, operational areas. It's all useful to the cause.

Also understand that there's the possibility you may have been targeted because of your previous status, be careful of who you choose to trust amongst your former allies, they may have been manipulated to act against you. While you may see a fellow struggling man, be mindful of who they serve.

And just for the bleeding record, if the Coalition tried anything, we'd be their end.

On a side note my ex-squire now a knight has tried to entrap me. Her name is Mary Loiner. If she shows up, she has nothing to do with me. And if I was to have another squire He/She would be from the mollys or RPA

Attention all Mollys,

One of our own has been compromised. Our very own mascot 'Knight' has been nicked by the CDI. He's being held as a tool to be used against us and I refuse to give them the power they believe they have.

I don't care what you think about Mister Mc'de, he's still one of us right now, so we've a duty to free him from the Crown's yolk yet again.

Put out the feelers, smash some coppers, ask around.
• Find out what happened to our man.
• Where the CDI may be holding him.
• What their ilk may know surrounding his capture.

Those of you who don't like him for his roots, think of it this way, if he's double-crossed us, you can sniff him out so we can put him down like the traitor dog he is.

Jo is strapped into the heavy steel chair, His left eye is completely swollen shut, a raw purple-black bruise. A deep gash splits his right eyebrow, dried blood crusting down his cheek. He’s missing a tooth on the bottom right side. His grey prisoner jumpsuit is torn at the shoulder, revealing a massive, blossoming contusion across his ribs. Every shallow breath he takes is a wheeze that makes him wince.

Standing across the narrow metal desk is Agent Thorne. He is a stark contrast: perfectly pressed black uniform, hair immaculately slicked back, holding a matte black data-slate. His face is not angry; it is utterly neutral, focusing on his tablet with the detachment of an accountant reviewing tax logs.

THORNE:
(Voice flat, conversational)
Subject: Sir Jo McDe, traitor (Class A). Physical extraction phase concluded. Information validation phase beginning now. We have twenty-four minutes before you are transferred off this ship. You will answer three data points before then, factually and completely.

JO:
(Chuckling roughly, coughing up a small fleck of blood onto the steel table)
Hrrgh. Just twenty-four minutes left? Man… usually I don’t get evicted until after they break my knuckles. Are you running a holiday special or something?

THORNE:
(Ignoring the remark, tapping the data-slate)
Question One. We know the 22-second burst transmission was sent on frequency 451.9. It was highly compressed. We require the decryption cipher. Provide it now.

JO:
(Grins, displaying the empty socket of his missing tooth)
Huff. The cipher? It's easy, pal. You just have to reverse-calculate the exact gravitational pull of your own immense arrogance. Once you have that variable, the rest is just… oof… basic math. Give it a shot.

Thorne does not react. He looks at Jo, then at the slate, then makes a precise entry. He steps around the table and delivers a short, calculated, professional-level kidney punch with his free hand.

Jo collapses forward into his straps, gasping, eyes bulging as his wheezing lungs fight for oxygen. He hangs there for a agonizing few seconds before slowly forcing his upper body upright.

JO:
(Voice a pained raspy whisper)
Wheeze. Okay… point taken. I guess math… hrrgh… isn’t your strong suit. My mistake.

THORNE:
(Back to his factual tone, smoothing his glove)
You are wasting valuable seconds. Your physical condition is rapidly approaching a non-communicative state. Question Two. We are monitoring encrypted Molly supply convoys from the Omega-3 jump gate. We have identified three specific fighter types escorted by 'Errant Blade' class vessels. Provide the exact defensive capabilities and patrol rotation of those fighter escorts.

JO:
(His good eye looking Thorne up and down, a look of lazy amusement)
Patrol rotations? (He makes a mock-thoughtful face, winces). Right… okay. The rotation is actually based on a very complicated, very ancient knightly ritual. We call it "The Knights of the Round Table." We just fly in circles and wait for some idiot in a fancy black uniform to show up so we can blow him to bits. THORNE:
(Tapping another note on the slate)
Evasive answers logged. Negative intent to cooperate. Information is currently categorized as "Low Reliability" but confirms hostilities. Third and final question. The Mollys have authorized a prisoner exchange for you. They are trading a specialist and a supplies shipment.

Thorne leans closer, his eyes narrowing just a fraction.
THORNE:
They are giving up an strategic asset for you. Why, Jo? Is it your knowledge of CDI interrogation methods? Have you already compromised our standard protocols in your 22-second call?

JO:
(His smile finally falls away, replaced by a look of genuine, exhausted dignity)
They aren't trading for me because I'm tactical data, Thorne. They're trading for me because… cough… unlike you… they know what "loyalty" actually means.

THORNE:
(Stares at him for five long seconds. Then taps the slate closed.)
Information gathering completed. Conclusion: Sub-optimal data retrieval. Probability of target sharing information in current psychological state: 4.1%.

Thorne turns and exits the cell, sealing the heavy metal door. The two brute guards who have been standing just outside the cell re-enter, unbolting Jo’s restraints roughly.

JO:
(As they grab him by the armpits, dragging him upward)
Argh! Hey, careful! This is custom-tailored prison wear! If you tear it, I’m sending the bill to your supervisor!
