Short Stack

Jumping back into the workshop. Getting real fed up with working on CRANE. Need something more grounded.

Took a look back at the calibration data for the reactor. Definitely a good baseline, Epsilon material for damn sure, but for my little crotch rocket it's gonna need that extra little oomph. Had a look at some of the market stock, and some of the stuff coming from up north is nuts. 'Higher throughput, less draw, better thruster efficiency'. Allegedly, anyway.

I'm gonna look through more of the recent catalogues, but I might have something in mind to beef this little guy's generator.

For now though, mounts. All the mounts.
Didn't take me too much time getting them fastened. Series X mounts always were really nice to work with. Some of the gear we've got planned for Alto's fabricators might strain 'em a bit, but that's what testing is for. For now, they'll work well enough, and shouldn't burst when I plug in the big guzzler. Probably worth a pretty penny, but that's what the USI lines are for.

Ward put out the notice to the whole front, which means it's time to go back through everything and swap out idents and markers. Truly, amazing stuff.

Already have Blackjack, Blackjack II, Flush, and Double Down flicked over. Unlike before, these frankly only take some minor updates. Might take a while for them to fully process, so keeping them to Pinnacle for now would be smart; Still, shouldn't take too too long.

Vindicator and Short Stack'll take a little longer; Former just by virtue of the lattice's complexity, and latter because I'm not done with it yet.


On that note, the mounts took to the frame pretty well. Not surprising, but it is nice when things actually work the way they should for once. Calibrations are showing promise, so I may even have this thing running by the time the gunship's idents get moved over. We'll have to see, though.

For now, I'm gonna keep doing some more tests. Only using standard-grade tech for now, though I do still have my eyes on those crazy units up north. Wonder if the Hack Pack has any they'd be willing to sell.
