To whom it may concern,
I am Setsuna Kobayashi, Ambassador-at-large of the Utsunomiya Commonwealth, a colonial state residing in the Everon region of Planet Gran Canaria.
Our naval forces were briefly in the vicinity of Freeport 9 and had intended to contribute to your joint assault on the Freeport in coordination with the Core and Shinsei, but sadly fleet directives called them elsewhere on an emergency matter. However, we did hear rumor of a surprising rout of the Imperio's forces, even if a boarding action to secure the station was unable to be attempted. Typically the Imperio is infamous for their strength in numbers approach to warfare, but this is nothing short of a welcome surprise.
We would like to use this opportunity not only to congratulate your forces in this, but to express an intent to form a hopefully long lasting, mutual and strong relationship with other sizable collectives and the sort within greater Zoner Society.
My office remains open if you wish to discuss any way we could collaborate on mutual interests - especially regarding the preservation of Zoner holdings across Sirius, or if there is anything we could possibly provide for you.
They did indeed take a severe beating, and much of that fleet now drifts as part of the local scrap cloud. We continue to strike them whenever the opportunity presents itself, and we will soon be deploying additional forces into Theta. Between the Imperio and the infected, we have judged it prudent to strengthen our presence there. After years spent fighting both Nomads and Corsairs, we are beginning to accumulate the experience —and the practical knowledge— needed to face them more effectively.
As for retaking Freeport 9, I do not believe it is yet feasible without further preparation. It may be that sending a message through the station’s destruction would prove both more valuable and less costly than a direct attempt to reclaim it intact.
How are things progressing with the Corsairs settlement on Gran Canaria?

My deepest apologies for the delay in answering you. Our office and the greater components of our government have been dealing with a litany of issues both at home and abroad. Growing pains of a bustling nation - I hope you and Phoenix can understand.
That being said, whilst we've made contact with various collectives across Gran Canaria and their colonies, garnering both positive and negative responses to us, I'm afraid we've not heard about a Corsair settlement on the Planet. If there is one, then it likely is very unpopulated or isn't on our side of the planet. Suffice to say whilst we do not care much for Crete, we'd very much like to keep Gran Canaria as peaceful as we can, if we can help it.
