It does not seem possible. Anya is two already? I just do not get out to see her often enough. I would LOVE to do something with you both for her birthday. Perhaps we can do some sort of party in the hydroponics bay since she likes it so much? It is a nice place, after all.
We have not discussed a lot of Med Force business in awhile either. I read the reports and all is well so I do not bother unless needed. You are doing a great job out there and I do not say it enough. I do want to continue our chat about med kits and such. I will be heading back to Theta so that we can make a party happen.

Subject .......... Urgent: HASTE Syndrome – Catastrophic Hydroponics Crop Failure
Dear John,
I am writing to formally brief you on a newly identified and highly destructive agro-pathological condition now designated HASTE Syndrome (Hydroponic Accelerated Systemic Tissue Exhaustion), which has resulted in catastrophic crop losses within Academy-controlled hydroponic systems.
Current findings indicate that HASTE is driven by a single, opportunistic microorganism uniquely adapted to closed-loop hydroponic environments. It thrives in nutrient-rich, constantly moist, recirculating systems and spreads with alarming speed. The organism does not present as an overt pathogen; instead, it undermines root function and internal plant signaling, pushing affected crops into rapid physiological exhaustion. By the time visible symptoms appear, system-wide failure is already underway.
The most concerning aspect is that standard diagnostics report nominal nutrient levels and functional hardware, leading automated correction systems—and human operators—to misattribute the collapse to routine imbalances. This delay has already cost us entire growth cycles and poses a direct threat to food security, training continuity, and operational resilience.
Frankly, this organism is a parasite in the purest sense—contributing nothing, exploiting efficiency, and leaving total failure in its wake. It is not aggressive through force, but through sabotage, and it is exceptionally well-suited to environments we have deliberately optimized.
In response, the Academy is working closely with other Zoner factions and allied bases to cooperatively warn one another of emerging cases, share observations, and prevent silent cross-system spread. In parallel, our scientific teams are coordinating with their counterparts to accelerate research into detection, containment, and viable countermeasures. This is being treated as a shared-zone threat rather than an isolated incident.
I recommend immediate elevation of HASTE Syndrome to a critical research and containment priority, suspension of affected closed-loop systems pending isolation protocols, and allocation of resources toward mitigation strategies that do not rely solely on conventional nutrient or sensor feedback.
I will forward a more detailed incident report and preliminary recommendations under separate cover.
Warm regards,

Subject .......... Penicillin Under Attack by BAF
Hello John
Isabella here. This Report shall highlight the Events that have led to Combat Damage on the [MFE]~ Penicillin. Taday around 18:00 UTC, the Penicillin encountered a Joint Task Force of Crayterian, Bretonian, and Kusarian Ships at the Holmann Junction of Tau 31. We got curious as to why such a Flotilla was there, after all, the Regional tensions in that area are quite high at the moment. We asked what was going on and whether a new war was already brewing. The answer was a yes, and i awnserd about how much I disliked war in general and especially all the injuries, both in Physical and Mental form it cases. I got acused to be Sympathetic to the Gallics and to be "apologetic" towards them. When all that we did was to inform the flotilla that we would remain in the area and would rescue personnel, no matter what kind of Uniform they would wear. I admit that I called the War a "Dick Measureing Contest" and was also otherwise sounding my displeasure with war as a Concept of Problem Solveing. Still, nothing that I did was more than to speak my mind and use my right of free speech. Still, the Captain of the Battleship "BAF|HMS-Hastings" Deemed this enough to open fire on my vessel.
We of Course Retreated imidiatly and tried to take a lane out of there as the Bretonian Captain clearly went mad. But one of the Bretonian Fighters have cut the Tradelane. So we decided to Move over to Hollman Outpost and thankfully the Good Miners gave us Refugee from the clearly Crazy Bretonians. This Act of Agression is a clear indicator that the Kingdome of Bretonia is everything you have warned me about. That a Bretonian Military Ship opens fire on a Medical Frigatte is Could even be considered a War Crime by the Bretonians.
For now, we will lick our Wounds and repair what we can. The Penicillin Lost 2 Medical Pods during this Attack and we have a couple of injured crewmembers. All in all, the robust design of the Penicillin saved us on this day. I will lay the Further Actions because of this into your Hands. But I wanted to warn you and every other Member of MFE about this Crazy Bretonian Captain and his out of Controle Battleship.

Dear Dr Saito,
It is a great shock that your clearly identified Medical Vessel was deliberately fired upon by Bretonia Armed Forces, brazenly within the sight of various witnesses. The schedule of Dr Holliday and the seriousness of this development may take a short time for full diplomatic communiques. In the interim we have dispatched a Search and Rescue Drone to the area, both in a monitoring capacity but also in case the worst scenario develops.

Subject .......... Hydrothera Update — Post-HASTE Recovery and System Improvements
Good day everyone,
Following my previous message regarding the HASTE Syndrome (Hydroponic Accelerated Systemic Tissue Exhaustion) outbreak, I’m happy to report that the situation has been fully resolved and the organism responsible for the failures has been successfully eradicated.
After a full system purge, sanitation cycle, and careful reintroduction of plant stock, the hydroponics bay at the Academy is now back to full operation. Production has stabilized and the bay is once again delivering high-quality produce to the station. This harvest is being incorporated directly into our standard food rations, ensuring that every ration pack now contains a healthy variety of nutritional components for those relying on them.
In the process of dealing with HASTE, the team also introduced several new hydro-culture techniques developed during the investigation and recovery phase. These improvements have had a noticeable impact. Crop output is now significantly higher than before the incident, while the amount of water, nutrients, and system maintenance required has actually decreased.
In short, Hydrothera has not only recovered, but improved. What started as a serious threat to the Academy’s food supply ultimately pushed us to refine the system into something more efficient and resilient than what we had before.
We will continue to monitor the system closely, but at this stage the hydroponics bay is stable, productive, and once again fulfilling its intended role in supporting not only the Academy, but also those in the Omicron Theta system and beyond.
Warm regards,
Jill Xi, PharmD, Director, Med Force General Academy, Omicron Theta Med Force Enterprises

I have found myself staying at the Kinkaku Base in Shikoku after responding to a food crisis here. Answering a distress call, I brought food rations from Theta to the base and have found myself treating staff who were starving. I think they had an on base malfunction that halted food production. It has since been corrected. I have opted to remain here for a few days to treat people for illness created by malnutrition. I should be back in a few days.

Subject .......... Field Hospital "Matricaria" After Action Report
Good day Miss Xi,
at your Table today, you will find the Operational and Medical Reports of the Field Hospital "Matricaria", deployed near heavy combat during the night of April.04.836 in Omicron Theta.
But first let me give you a quick overview of the "Matricaria".
I´m Yuuki Kamakura, Captain of this Vessel. My sister Dr. Yuna Kamakura acts as head of our medical facilitys.
The "Matricaria" is an Dunlin Class Exploration Vessel, rebuild from the ground up to act as a Rapid Deployment Field Hospital in the Border and Edge Worlds of our Galaxy.
Now back to the report at hand.
- On April 04.836 around 19 o'clock, local sirian time, the Matricaria picked up a sizable gathering of Corsair Capital Class Vessels and there escorts near Freeport 9.
- Shortly thereafter another contact was spotted near Sector 3/4, this time Core Capital Class Vessels and there escorts as well as some spacecraft belonging to the Gas Miners Guild.
- Also worth mentioning was a cruiser strike group of militant zoners who fell in with the Core and GMG Forces present.
- The Matricaria announced the deployment of the Field Hospital at the edge of Sector 3 to all parties, yet neither Core, GMG or Zoner Vessels did take up its offer of medical assistance.
- Combat started around 19:30 after both parties hurled the usual insults at each other, with the combined Core, GMG and Zoner forces steadily getting the upper hand
- All Corsair Vessels where lost or critically damaged during the battle, some retreating under heavy fire towards the Freeport
- After combat died down and the Core, GMG and Zoner Forces left the area, the Field Hospital moved closer towards the battlefield, ready to assist
- We managed to collect 40 escape pods in and around the combat area, all occupants in various states of needing medical assistance
As for an detailed Medical Report i'll let my Sister handle this part.
Thank you sis. As mentioned i'm Dr. Yuna Kamakura, head doctor of the Matricaria.
Now, for the medical report.
Of the 40 escape pods secured, we had:
- 8 occupants with severe burns (Grade 2 and 3) and/or heavy retina damage, (probably flashes from exploding plasma)
- 4 occupants with either broken arms or legs
- 2 occupants with spinal damage
- 5 occupants with severe cuts at arms and around the upper chest area
- 3 occupants with bruises and cuts
- 4 occupants with either collapsed lungs or otherwise breathing difficulties
-10 occupants with minor injuries
Now if you do the math, you will conclude we're only at 36 so far.
Sadly and it pains me to say this, despite our best efforts, 4 occupants lost there lifes during threatment.
The body's are currently stored at the Matriarias morgue and should be returned to there families as soon as possible.
Miss XI, it is my wish to oversee the return of those body's in person as they died while under my care.
I will send you a list with there names later, as soon as all other patients have been safely transfered on board the Academy.
This concludes our reports.
We look forward to meet you at your office if you can spare a moment or two.

Dear Yuuki,
Thank you for your well-structured report. I appreciate the clarity of both the operational overview and Dr. Kamakura’s detailed medical account. Please extend my gratitude to her as well.
While the loss of life is deeply regrettable, it is no more than evident that you and your team acted with professionalism and dedication under difficult circumstances. Being present in a live-combat situation is often unwelcome by those in combat yet when survivors, or in worst case bodies, are being repatriated they are often pleased. Your efforts and that of your team in recovering and treating the survivors are commendable.
I look forward to meeting with you soon to go over the report together in more detail. It will be valuable for us to review both the operational and medical aspects, particularly from a training and preparedness perspective for our Academy.
Additionally, should members of the Matricaria staff have the time, I would welcome the opportunity for them to brief our students in their respective areas of expertise. First-hand experience from active field personnel is an invaluable learning resource, and I believe it would greatly benefit our trainees. If needed and when it fits your planning, your crew can enjoy some time off at the Academy. Sometimes a full-day of rest can do wonders for a crew. I will leave this up to you of course. You know them best.
When you are at the academy feel free to drop by. I will make time available in my schedule.

Good day Miss Xi,
let me thank you for your words of encouragement. Of cause i will extend your gratitude towards my sister and the crew of the "Matricaria" as a whole.
My sister Yuna is currently overseeing the transfer of our patients towards the differrent medical departments at the academy.
After the transfer has concluded, she will most likely join us at your office.
Now as promissed, she compiled a list with the names of the four patients who sadly succumed from there wounds while undergoing threatment.
We also like to take you up on your offer for some R&R while the Field Hospital is still moured at the academy.
All crew will be granted 2 days of leave from regular dutys.
A skeleton crew of engineers and dockworkers will however periodicly remain on the ship for maintainance and resupply purposes.
Any member of our crew is free to share there expertise towards your students during there lessons, if the teachers in question think it may benefit them.
On that matter, my sister and of cause myself, are happy to share our knowledge in our respectable fields as well.
