☆ From: Agent "Denali"

☆ To: Liberty Operational Intelligence Channels

☆ Subject: Planet Erie COIN Operations Alert

All Liberty forces operating in Pennsylvania, be advised:

Integration Team 3's network on Erie, while rooting out secessionist organizers, has come to the conclusion that a militia band is actively seeking information on my agents, informants and myself. We determined this after word reached us that some unintegrated civilians on Erie with suspected ties to the militia movement were passing our internal-use callsigns around, looking for leads.

This signals a significant security breach.

We've got screwball LPI to thank for this. Protocol at one of their internment camps was piss-poor during deconstruction, and an agitator got access to a terminal inside. It held records of our contact with their base admin on the facility's local-net. I'll file an official protest of their incompetence, but at this point who's counting?

Agents "Brook" and "Ozark" squeezed some sources. We think the perpetrators are tied to Group Clarion. Our existing threat profile paints them as a part of a larger militia we broke up back in early 832. Initial guess was, this data theft was a last gasp effort by a diehard out to do some damage. But then we got a lead that proved to us they're operating their own cargo transport. That tells me this cell's clinging to life somewhere.

Not just the cargo ship, either. They've been scraping together spacecraft for the last few months. We put what we know so far into a working list of their operating vessels and classes. See the following for intel.

MILITANT ID CRAFT:
  • Unknown ID - Destroyer or cruiser class vessel. Sounds unlikely with the cell's small size, but stay alert.
  • Gr.C|EMS-Leatherwood - Small, well-armed transport. Possibly Grouse or Armadillo class.
  • Gr.C|EMS-Black.Fox - Montante-class gunship. ID lines up with a reputed Pirate transponder.
  • Gr.C|"Gunstock" - Broadsword bomber. Spotted at Bethlehem Station with the Black Fox.

We also have a lock on several Zoner ships that we determine with reasonable confidence are linking this militia to the Pennsylvania smuggling network. Likely sympathizers. Interdict, interrogate, or eliminate as necessary.

ZONER ID CRAFT:
  • Camelbak - Kestrel freighter.
  • Red.Dandelion - Dromedary freighter.
  • Unknown ID - Sunburst freighter.

Counter-intel on this group is now Team 3's imminent priority. It's not impossible that this hunt for my agents, and the organized Militant raids lately occuring in Liberty space, are being orchestrated by Kusari handlers to study our response times. If there's a link between them and Kusari Intelligence, we'll find and cut it, along with any chance of them threatening our agents.

In service to the Republic.

09/04/836 - Coalition transport encounter, New York system

On April 7, 836 A.S., I received a telegram to instruct West Point Academy cadet Carl Williams. On April 9, according to the patrol schedule, I was assigned to a patrol with him, along with two other pilots - a Liberty Navy pilot "Romeo-6" and LSF pilot "Watchful Blade". The LSF agent was appointed commander of our patrol group and was informed of the purpose of this patrol: to check the area and conduct the first practical flight with the Cadet.

The patrol departed from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, after which our group moved to Pennsylvania. During the patrol, we scanned several passing ships, after which we encountered a pirate vessel - "Roku Nana". The criminal element was of Qusari origin and was interrogated on the matter and ordered to surrender. However, the pirate himself showed no aggression and reported the presence of a Coalition transport ship in orbit around the planet Manhattan in the New York system. According to him, the ship's captain was selling potatoes in Liberty Republic space. The group's commander, "Watchful Blade", ordered me and Carl Williams to get at Manhattan's orbit and check the situation.

Upon arrival in orbit around the planet, our sensors registered the presence of a hostile ship, and dispatchers at Newark and Trenton stations confirmed our readings, relying on Manhattan's orbital relays. The pirate wasn't lying: a Coalition Cyclone-class transport "Red.Star"-Potatomarket was present in orbit around the planet. Having established contact, we engaged in dialogue with the captain to interrogate him about his purpose in orbiting Manhattan, in the heart of the Liberty Republic. The ship's captain, a certain Pavel, claimed that the purpose of his arrival was commercial activity in the Liberty Republic, selling potatoes and claiming his ship as "glorious Potato Market in Galaxy" (direct quote, check Black Box data).

I handed over the interrogation to Cadet Carl Williams, but his efforts were ineffective. Deciding to take matters into my own hands, I pointed out the captain's affiliation with a group hostile to Liberty (the Coalition), as well as his illegal activities in Republic space. I ordered the captain to disable the shields and abandon ship so we could retrieve them and transport them to the nearest interrogation location, then tow their ship. The captain attempted to steer the ship toward the Jersey Debris Field, ignoring our orders. This was interpreted as insubordination, leading to a deadlock in negotiations, and we were forced to open fire. The attacking force consisted of an LSF agent "Watchful Blade" and Liberty Navy pilot "Romeo-6". After a short battle, the enemy ship was destroyed, and the remains of the hold were either destroyed or collected by us for examination at the nearest laboratory for the presence of poison.

After this incident, the patrol continued, with the final stop being the Battleship Alma in orbit around Erie. No other incidents occurred between these events. The replacement team was already waiting for us, and we docked with the battleship, after which we handed over the ships for maintenance.

Scanner data, photo confirmation of the target's destruction, and black box data are attached.

P.S.: This report also includes a character reference for Cadet Carl Williams, which must be forwarded to West Point Academy.

[08.04.2026 17:34:13] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Austin is on station, systems nominal, weapons... Nominal, engines - nominal, ready for patrol operation. Over.
[08.04.2026 17:35:45] Carl.Williams: Willams reporting, all systems online. I'm ready for patrol.
[08.04.2026 17:36:15] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Great, at least you didn't mentioned your rank. That's first lesson, you can say your surname, name, callsign, but no ranks.
[08.04.2026 17:36:36] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Expection is some officer since well... That's an officer, like he doesn't care sometimes. Or she.
[08.04.2026 17:40:01] Carl.Williams: Roger that, Austin, I'll try to remember that.
[08.04.2026 17:40:44] Watchful.Blade: Do note that deviations from standart protocols will be written down and passed to your immediate command.
[08.04.2026 17:41:43] Carl.Williams: Sure, I know that.
[08.04.2026 17:42:03] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Yes, so there's your first patrol flight, and I am assigned as an instructor. Agent Blade will be our commander during that-
[08.04.2026 17:42:05] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: flight.
[08.04.2026 17:42:19] Watchful.Blade: Keep that up, cadet. One day you might be promoted for your cleverness.
[08.04.2026 17:42:45] Carl.Williams: I'll do my best. Should we begin?
[08.04.2026 17:43:47] Watchful.Blade: Back to business, gentlemen. Initiate trade lane sequence, our first stop will be Pennsylvania. Unrest is raising up by a minut
[08.04.2026 17:43:57] [OOC] Watchful.Blade: *minute.
[08.04.2026 17:44:17] Carl.Williams: Roger that, moving on.
[08.04.2026 17:44:43] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Ah, damn it, following you.
[08.04.2026 17:45:18] Watchful.Blade: What do you happen to know about the conflict around Erie, Williams?
[08.04.2026 17:45:50] Carl.Williams: Haven't heard anything special about it.
[08.04.2026 17:47:24] Watchful.Blade: That's.. Well, haven't expected more than that. You see, zoners that were once inhabiting Erie were integrated into Liberty's
[08.04.2026 17:47:27] Watchful.Blade: society.
[08.04.2026 17:48:09] Watchful.Blade: The criminal elements weren't happy about that, obviously. Our job is to put them down and ensure peace.
[08.04.2026 17:48:14] Watchful.Blade: Understood?
[08.04.2026 17:48:20] Carl.Williams: Got it.
[08.04.2026 17:48:33] Watchful.Blade: That's the spirit.
[08.04.2026 17:48:55] Watchful.Blade: How long it was since you've graduated?
[08.04.2026 17:49:12] Carl.Williams: It's about a month.
[08.04.2026 17:49:44] Watchful.Blade: A month, huh? Got in any trouble in that month?
[08.04.2026 17:50:11] Carl.Williams: Not really. Haven't been asigned into something serious, untill now.
[08.04.2026 17:50:35] Watchful.Blade: Great. That will be a good start.
[08.04.2026 17:51:14] Watchful.Blade: Got your smoke break, Austin? Keep moving.
[08.04.2026 17:51:50] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Yeah, yeah, let's move.

[08.04.2026 17:53:45] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Standart scanning procedure, won't take much time.

[08.04.2026 17:54:38] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Have you checked everything?
[08.04.2026 17:54:50] Carl.Williams: Yes. All good.
[08.04.2026 17:55:02] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Fine. Then I have nothing to say besides safe skise, captain.
[08.04.2026 17:55:13] [OOC] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: skies*
[08.04.2026 17:55:38] PatzTrader: have a great day
[08.04.2026 17:55:42] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Same to you.
[08.04.2026 17:56:12] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: So, basically, when you scanning someone - better check everything. Cargo, equipment, ammunition and everything else.
[08.04.2026 17:56:36] Watchful.Blade: Since our little "job" here is done... Situation report, Romeo-6.
[08.04.2026 17:56:37] Carl.Williams: Got it.
[08.04.2026 17:56:43] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Ah, and yeah, by the way, before you run scanning process - better ask for it. Not doing it... Silent.
[08.04.2026 17:57:00] Carl.Williams: Understood.
[08.04.2026 17:57:18] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: We literally got a trader, couple weeks ago. He filed a lawsuit for this.
[08.04.2026 18:00:06] Romeo~6: Agent, you want my report?
[08.04.2026 18:00:26] Watchful.Blade: I *require* your report, officer.
[08.04.2026 18:00:50] Watchful.Blade: That *wasn't* a question.
[08.04.2026 18:01:14] Romeo~6: I saw a very expensive scanner on a ordinary Serenity-class. Nothing more to report.
[08.04.2026 18:01:53] Roku.Nana: ?: Ah shite..
[08.04.2026 18:01:58] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: We've got a suicide man.
[08.04.2026 18:02:00] Romeo~6: Wow. Suicidal one.
[08.04.2026 18:02:04] Roku.Nana: ?: Before we all shoot each other!

[08.04.2026 18:04:16] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: *sighs*

[08.04.2026 18:06:26] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: You are a pirate. And besides that Coalitioner, selling a potato, I could assume you doing things way worse than him.
[08.04.2026 18:06:30] Watchful.Blade: Given the recent... Situations./
[08.04.2026 18:06:41] Roku.Nana: ?: Hell, I left Kusari for a reason.

[08.04.2026 18:08:28] Carl.Williams: ????? ?????????? ???
[08.04.2026 18:09:23] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Hard to believe we're really looking for Coalition transport in heart of Republic.
[08.04.2026 18:09:55] Carl.Williams: Don't really bealive in it, why should we trust a pirate?
[08.04.2026 18:10:12] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Like we cannot check this-
[08.04.2026 18:10:15] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: What the fuck.
[08.04.2026 18:10:29] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Sensor contact, 10 klicks away. Coalition transponder.
[08.04.2026 18:10:42] Carl.Williams: Seems he was right after all.
[08.04.2026 18:10:48] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Privjet comrade and welcome to most .
[08.04.2026 18:10:57] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: That's most unexpected thing for all years I've served in Navy.
[08.04.2026 18:11:03] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: We sell glorious potato from most glorious of coalition potato farms.
[08.04.2026 18:11:12] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Okay, let's approach him and see what we're dealing with.
[08.04.2026 18:11:12] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Come and see comrade. We even have Vodka made from glorious potato by Pavel here on ship.
[08.04.2026 18:12:19] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Austin to Coalition transport, may I know your reason to exist right in heart of Republic?
[08.04.2026 18:13:11] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Hey, knock-knock. Can you tell me something better than that potato-market-thing?
[08.04.2026 18:13:40] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Privjet comrade. "Red Star" Potatomarket brought glorious potato to comrades of Liberty.
[08.04.2026 18:13:51] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: I heard it, pal.
[08.04.2026 18:14:06] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: I want to know why that market right in New York?
[08.04.2026 18:14:16] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Is it hard to explain?
[08.04.2026 18:14:47] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Because where would you find most customers for glorious potato then right here, comrade.
[08.04.2026 18:15:09] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Eh... Somewhere else but Coalition transport, I guess?
[08.04.2026 18:16:05] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: For supplying glorious potato to people of liberty. Potatomarket has come from all the way from omicrons, comrade.
[08.04.2026 18:16:25] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: All comrades of sirius are privy to most glorious potato.
[08.04.2026 18:17:03] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Come comrade. Glorious potato does not bite.
[08.04.2026 18:17:26] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Hey, Carl, ask him something else, I'd like to know how you doing interrogations.

[08.04.2026 18:18:17] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: *chuckles* Okay, that was good one.
[08.04.2026 18:18:39] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Austin to Oscar-One, greetings and glad see you here. How is it going?
[08.04.2026 18:18:54] [LN]-Oscar.1: Green across the board, Austin. Sitrep?
[08.04.2026 18:19:06] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Ministry of Agriculture has issued Potatomarket with licence to sell glorious potato in all of galaxy, comrade.
[08.04.2026 18:19:26] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Well, as you can see...
[08.04.2026 18:19:42] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: No idea how to even explain. Lack of such 'experience'.
[08.04.2026 18:20:01] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: But generally speaking, there's Coalition transport selling potatoes near of Manhattan.
[08.04.2026 18:20:02] Carl.Williams: I don't really belive your Ministry works in our space.
[08.04.2026 18:20:30] [LN]-Oscar.1: A security code violation. That is exactly what it is.
[08.04.2026 18:20:47] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Sure it is, I ran scan process and found nothing dangerous but food rations and vodka.
[08.04.2026 18:21:20] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: I'd like to introduce Williams to interrogation process before we'll ask that captain to drop his shields and eject in space
[08.04.2026 18:21:24] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Ahh but you see comrade. Ministry of Agriculture is certain comrades of sirius will rejoice when seeing glorious potatomarket.
[08.04.2026 18:22:08] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: So, *sighs*, you can enjoy the show. It's fully handled and I do not think we won't be able to deal with him if something-
[08.04.2026 18:22:11] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: will be wrong.
[08.04.2026 18:22:32] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Continue, Williams, he's yours.
[08.04.2026 18:22:45] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: But i can see your still scared of glorious potato. How about you take free sample of glorious potato as sign of friendship ?
[08.04.2026 18:23:01] Rules Tip: A single player running two or more instances of Freelancer is against server rules and is regarded as cheating.
[08.04.2026 18:24:06] Carl.Williams: We don't need any samples, we need to see your permisions.
[08.04.2026 18:24:25] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: God, I like your style of being such joker.
[08.04.2026 18:24:51] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Ahh now Pavel does understand, comrade.
[08.04.2026 18:24:52] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Okay, make it more serious. Can you do that, right?
[08.04.2026 18:25:48] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Ministry of Agriculture has issued glorious Potatomarket with licence "LC-85/74-410" for trading glorious potato in galaxy.
[08.04.2026 18:27:02] Carl.Williams: Right... I say, you drop your shields down and we'll check your licences more closely.
[08.04.2026 18:27:32] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Ah, here it goes. Okay, let's imagine you're leading the group. Follow his order, captain, he's not joking.
[08.04.2026 18:27:55] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: I think it's end of your market, pal, considering who you are and so on.
[08.04.2026 18:28:03] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Of cause comrade. Potatomarket has nothing to hide from glorious Liberty Navy.
[08.04.2026 18:28:32] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Also, let's make it more clean. Since William like jokes, I'll put some better context.
[08.04.2026 18:29:02] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Won't you mind, Williams?
[08.04.2026 18:29:09] Carl.Williams: Not at all.
[08.04.2026 18:29:31] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Great. Okay, so according to Liberty Laws, Coalition vessels marked as hostile to the Republic. Like an enemy.

[08.04.2026 18:30:11] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Because of obvious reasons.
[08.04.2026 18:30:27] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: There's some law people have to follow and us, who looking for people follow the law.
[08.04.2026 18:30:49] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: And, also, yeah, we're the ones who making sure Liberty's sovereignty won't be broken by such actions-
[08.04.2026 18:30:57] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: like Coalition vessel nearby of Manhattan.
[08.04.2026 18:31:27] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Of cause comrade, of cause. Now Pavel does understand.
[08.04.2026 18:32:12] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Great. So, captain Pavel, best choice for you - save your crewmen, your life and your potatoes. Well, and vodka too.
[08.04.2026 18:32:19] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: I mean, people have to be reasonable, right?
[08.04.2026 18:32:31] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Of cause glorious potatomarket will move away from glorious planet. Comrades of liberty navy may show
[08.04.2026 18:32:44] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: So, drop your shields, set the "Abandon Ship" alarm and... Eject.
[08.04.2026 18:32:51] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Potatomarket where we can sell glorious potato.
[08.04.2026 18:33:20] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Nah, nah, nah, you've come too close to our planet. I mean, if it will happen somewhere in borders of Liberty - maybe, we'll
[08.04.2026 18:33:27] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: let you go. Who knows?
[08.04.2026 18:33:37] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: But, in such case, better for you to drop shields and leave the ship.
[08.04.2026 18:33:48] Watchful.Blade: Skip the next lane.

[08.04.2026 18:36:36] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Pavel will take Potatomarket elsewhere. Where comrades may not reject glorious potato.
[08.04.2026 18:36:46] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Woah, no, no.
[08.04.2026 18:37:09] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: I didn't told you we're gonna eject your potatoes.
[08.04.2026 18:37:18] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: I told you we're gonna see you and your crew to eject.
[08.04.2026 18:37:54] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Okay, looks like he's not like to talk.
[08.04.2026 18:38:32] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Blade, lead the group, I'll leave the rest for you.
[08.04.2026 18:38:34] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Pavel does understand.
[08.04.2026 18:39:04] Watchful.Blade: No-no. Your headache. Finish what you've started, Austin.
[08.04.2026 18:39:11] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Its saddens him that comrades of liberty do not accept glorious potato in there hearts.

[08.04.2026 18:39:39] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Okay, three minutes has passed, captain. Your choice?
[08.04.2026 18:39:54] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Will you comply William's order or shall we make you do that by force?
[08.04.2026 18:40:18] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Potatomarket will leave comrades of liberty alone without glorious potato.
[08.04.2026 18:40:42] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Buddy, it's not about leaving or not.
[08.04.2026 18:40:53] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: It's about you and your crewmates going to Prison.
[08.04.2026 18:40:58] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: It's simple as fuck.
[08.04.2026 18:40:59] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Maybe comrades of Kusari are more welcoming towards glorious potato.
[08.04.2026 18:41:26] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Okay, I am done talking. Austin to Blade, Romeo-Six, green light for engagement.

[08.04.2026 18:42:56] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: If Pavel is to perish for selling glorious potato to comrades of liberty then pavel will accept this fate.
[08.04.2026 18:43:15] Watchful.Blade: There will be no place in Liberty for red pestilence.
[08.04.2026 18:43:18] Watchful.Blade: Weapons hot.
[08.04.2026 18:43:30] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Well, he was looking for this.
[08.04.2026 18:43:39] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket: Such ignorance for glorious potato.
[08.04.2026 18:43:51] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Dumb.
[08.04.2026 18:43:59] "Red.Star"-Potatomarket died to Romeo~6(75%)
[08.04.2026 18:43:59] Assisted by: Watchful.Blade(25%)

[08.04.2026 18:44:25] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: And... Eliminated. Let's collect some of his food. I'd like to send samples to nearest laboratory.

[08.04.2026 18:44:38] Watchful.Blade: I believe Romeo-6 got some.
[08.04.2026 18:44:44] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Great, so we can move out.
[08.04.2026 18:44:46] [LN]-Oscar.1: Target neutralised. Oscar One is RTB.
[08.04.2026 18:45:30] Watchful.Blade: Watchful Blade out. RTB.
[08.04.2026 18:48:50] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Okay, back to the service.
[08.04.2026 18:48:53] Romeo~6: That one is import potato.
[08.04.2026 18:48:58] Carl.Williams: I am. Do not really trust red potatoes.
[08.04.2026 18:49:25] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Leave this cargo on West Point, I've sent a communication to handle those potatoes.
[08.04.2026 18:49:38] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: They'll send it to the laboratory.
[08.04.2026 18:49:46] [SC]Chitose.Maru: RO: Konnichiwa, gentlemen.
[08.04.2026 18:49:51] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Woah, a GMG vessel.
[08.04.2026 18:49:53] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Hi there.
[08.04.2026 18:49:58] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: May you stop for a bit?
[08.04.2026 18:50:02] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Standart scanning procedure.
[08.04.2026 18:50:04] [SC]Chitose.Maru: RO: Certainly.
[08.04.2026 18:50:11] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Williams!

[08.04.2026 18:50:40] Carl.Williams: All clear, Austin.
[08.04.2026 18:51:07] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Great! Anything to report, captain? Maybe, you've got some criminals on route to West Point?
[08.04.2026 18:51:13] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Or anything suspicious?
[08.04.2026 18:51:22] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Share the information would be a good idea.
[08.04.2026 18:51:28] [SC]Chitose.Maru: RO: Negative, pilot. All is quiet regarding criminality.
[08.04.2026 18:51:39] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: That's good. Won't you mind if we escort you?
[08.04.2026 18:51:46] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Got same path to Pennsylvania.
[08.04.2026 18:51:50] [SC]Chitose.Maru: RO: As you wish.
[08.04.2026 18:53:05] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: What's your destination, by the way?
[08.04.2026 18:53:15] [SC]Chitose.Maru: You shall see shortly, pilot.
[08.04.2026 18:54:15] [SC]Chitose.Maru: RO: One more lane to go.
[08.04.2026 18:54:41] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: I'll leave you alone, captain, our path ends near Erie.
[08.04.2026 18:55:02] [SC]Chitose.Maru: RO: Godspeed, pilot.
[08.04.2026 18:55:07] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Same.
[08.04.2026 18:55:21] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: So-called Hegemon.
[08.04.2026 18:55:34] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Hey, William, try it by yourself.
[08.04.2026 18:55:38] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: You know how it works.
[08.04.2026 18:55:57] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Unlucky. Maybe he'll undock.
[08.04.2026 18:56:07] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Let's see.
[08.04.2026 18:58:18] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Okay, since it's silent right now - let's rest a bit.
[08.04.2026 18:58:31] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: So, I do prefer talk sometimes about something not related to the Navy.
[08.04.2026 18:58:41] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Where are you from Williams?
[08.04.2026 18:59:18] Carl.Williams: From Erie. Lived there whole my life.
[08.04.2026 18:59:47] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: That's surprising, considering situation around that planet nowadays.
[08.04.2026 19:00:20] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: So, any relatives living there?
[08.04.2026 19:00:46] Carl.Williams: My father's still there.
[08.04.2026 19:01:31] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: So, I have nothing to worry about when working with you? *chuckles*
[08.04.2026 19:01:50] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: I mean, well, you've got the point. That's related to what Blade told you in beginning of the patrol.
[08.04.2026 19:02:39] Carl.Williams: Not at all, Austin.
[08.04.2026 19:04:26] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Just in case, just in case. Conversation is part of the human social nature. We are social by nature.
[08.04.2026 19:04:49] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Don't be shy about saying more than three words.
[08.04.2026 19:06:15] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: It will case some impact on civilians you'll meet in the future. Like, they do like talking officer rather than silent one.
[08.04.2026 19:06:32] [OOC] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: but silent one.*
[08.04.2026 19:06:49] Romeo~6: Austin. Just to be honest. Did you get that rookie on your own just for busy work?
[08.04.2026 19:07:17] Romeo~6: As I remember, we need do some paper work after every scanner.
[08.04.2026 19:07:40] Romeo~6: And all scan's was do by.. Williams. Isn't it?
[08.04.2026 19:07:50] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Paperwork ain't problem for me. I can handle that alone.
[08.04.2026 19:08:17] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: West Point asking me sometimes to work with Cadets. One way or another, I am staying more in Liberty than it's borders.
[08.04.2026 19:08:43] Romeo~6: Nah, worst part in my job is paper work.
[08.04.2026 19:08:43] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: So, order is order, and I am not complaining.
[08.04.2026 19:09:00] Romeo~6: Just sitting and typing and typing and typing...
[08.04.2026 19:09:02] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Well, matter of taste, I guess. You're not a first one hating it.
[08.04.2026 19:09:38] Romeo~6: I am not first, I am not last.
[08.04.2026 19:09:50] Romeo~6: How about you, Williams?
[08.04.2026 19:10:06] Romeo~6: Ready for 2-3 hours of typing after all that scan's?
[08.04.2026 19:18:52] Romeo~6: So... Williams. What about our deal?
[08.04.2026 19:18:57] Romeo~6: About pota...
[08.04.2026 19:19:00] Romeo~6: toes.
[08.04.2026 19:19:11] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Told you to send them at West Point.
[08.04.2026 19:19:24] Romeo~6: I was.
[08.04.2026 19:19:36] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: No, you clearly not.
[08.04.2026 19:19:52] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Okay, let's keep our talk at Alma, seems like our patrol is over for today.
[08.04.2026 19:20:09] [LN]-Matthew.Austin: Shift team will come in few minutes, let's make sure we won't make them wait us for too long.
[+]Cadet Carl Williams overview
Lieutenant Matthew Austin Wrote:"Cadet Carl Williams was tested during his first practical flight as part of the West Point Academy training program, under my personal supervision, according to a telegram dated April 7, 836 A.S. The cadet was released to the Academy's custody after completing the patrol without sustaining any serious or fatal injuries.

The cadet is a trained Liberty officer, capable of following orders, does not criticize the current Republic government, and clearly and efficiently carries out assigned tasks. According to the Academy review, Cadet Carl Williams has a "B" rating in Defender-class piloting, however, this has not been practically tested: there were no situations during patrol that required his immediate participation in a combat role.

Among Cadet's shortcomings, I note his taciturnity and lack of communication skills. Although his negotiations with civilians were "satisfactory," his dialogue with his fellow soldiers was less than satisfactory: for the most part, he listened, spoke stiffly, and responded little. In accordance with the attached review,

I am requesting that the West Point Academy instructors conduct further investigations into his unit to determine whether there is any hazing activity between him and his colleagues, and to conduct further training in verbal communication."

LIBERTY NAVY PATROL REPORT

Cadet Claire Valenzuela

Patrol turned massive firefight log:

Cadet Valenzuela checking in,

Undocked from Norfolk as fast as I could after receiving a call from Matthew Austin for a routine patrol. After undocking I met a "Interdictor"-class Battlecruiser just outside with the name Santisima Trinidad. One Lt. Pablo who I assume was in command of the vessel was asking for help regarding the location of a jump hole headed to Virginia. I was not aware of that and I made it clear to him that I was a cadet with no knowledge of that jump hole or system. After that I took my leave and went ahead to Pennsylvania to meet up with Austin.

When I arrived in Pennsylvania, Austin was speaking to a Freelancer going by the name of Coyotin. I did not get the full conversation but I did initiate a scan on their ship, a Broadsword black market bomber. (Attached scan results at the end of this report.) There has been no signs of aggression from the pilot and everything went smoothly. While that was going on another ship entered scanner range and made a beeline for us, Freelancer named The Illusionist. Quite a name even for me. Same pattern as the last ship, no aggression more on dialogue and when I also ran a scan, it was an interesting ship. It was a Thor black market bomber. The pilot claims his is a mercenary for hire and that his ship was bought second hand because his last ship, a Roc, blew up.

Austin checked it on his end and told me its fine and we moved on after getting information about a Zoner warship named Warlock+, near or in grid F3 and we proceeded to fly there. Visual was confirmed by both me and Austin and a recording is also attached. It flew fast towards and docked in Bethlehem Station. I admit I thought it cloaked when it disappeared from my sight. After that Austin gave me a refresher on sensors and scanners so that I can get a grip on checking distance between ships to be able to identify and follow them.

Couple minutes Austin got a call regarding a gathering in California and that a sizable navy force was meeting in West Point to see what was going on. We took the trade lane to California Gate and jumped and waited for orders. A minute later we got orders to move to the Texas system since it was already getting hot there.

When we arrived, the first thing I saw was the biggest battle I have ever seen. Between our navy and a pack of Xenos. There were I think 8 of them, I was not sure since everything was filled with shots from both sides. Some pirate vessels arrived as well and started shooting at us. We jumped into the fire when Austin was targeted and I moved to support him but he told me to make a run for it. I was about to complain but decided to follow orders. I was about to reach the North Dallas debris field when I lost Austin's signature, he was shot out of the sky.

I decided to fly back, to at least get some shots in, try to avenge him. I almost lost my nerve as I tried to stay calm and watch the fight continue. Both sides lost ships but it was a problem because the Xenos had a Archon on their side and was taking shots at us. The enemy ships took advantage of the California Jump hole to escape mid fight and come back while we were getting pounded.

We were given orders to finally jump in and during the firefight I lost my composure and shouted at one of the enemy ships and I quote, "Die already!". The surviving navy ships then turned the tide and we ended the battle.

I made it out alive with 5 confirmed assists to our fighters. I don't think it was enough, but it was enough to get back at them for what they did to our guys. Before we dispersed I managed to pick up Austin's escape pod by chance as I was leaving the scene. I set course back to Norfolk, landed and got Austin to the med bay, god I hope he makes a full recovery.
