Good day!
I found you all late probably Is it like 8 or 9 years for this server?
As I was having a lot of free time and due to aparent nostalgia shot, I've spent a lot of quality time playing one of the best games from my childhood. Campain's won, all fancy loot and systems are cleared, so I discoved this Discovery. And very pleased about it.
I'm just curious a bit what to do here exactly.
I read the RP explanatory stuff in the rules, and spent like ~40h just exploring new systems, all new goods and stuff. Changed two-three ships, couple of missions and trading to get some pocket money. But I'm under impression that it has to be more pvp-related. Otherwise what's the point in multiplayer. But I just don't know THE WAY. Could you tell me what are the common players activities here
I'll probably stuck more to combat / convoying like time-spending. PVP-battles, maybe mass people fights. What are you people doing here regularly? And btw, time in game in what timezone?
Hello and welcome.
This server is 20years+.
For activity each faction handle it related to their rp. You will never see a nomad trading as example.
Sometime you have official or unofficial event involving huge fleet fight.
Hey, welcome in! Glad to see new faces out and about!
While it's true many folks focus on the PvP side of things, there's several folk who are in it either for the space trucker stuff, pure RP vibes, or a mix of things.
For RP, you could either go the route of convoy escort, pirate people by demanding silly things like a song or poem, act like a Liner narrator, radio broadcaster, or..
Start a roving restaurant!
The Mrs and I try to log The Gaelic Wyvern Inn once or twice a week. Even got our own google doc menu!
You'd be surprised at how many folks seem to appreciate a little descriptive food/drink emoting. It's a fun time!
Similar vibes could include a bar for drinks, or just a pushy sales rep for something.
If you have a Discord, the community's got a server here: https://discord.gg/FdSkbZ8
Folks are usually quite active there!
Cheers, and happy sailing!
