Senior Kusari admiral assassinated
PLANET NEW TOKYO - Anonymous sources within the Kusari State Police have confirmed that Admiral Goro Okamoto has been assassinated in his New Tokyo home. Aged 79, Admiral Okamoto was one of the most senior and influential officers of the Kusari Naval Forces, and had been instrumental to the development of Kusari's Naval doctrine and defensive strategy in the decades following the Colony Wars.
Admiral Okamoto initially rose to fame within Kusari as the long-serving captain of the Battleship Matsumoto, which fought at the forefront of the Tau War against Bretonia and later Gallia. He reprised this role during Kusari's later invasion of Gallia, leading the advance through Rishiri into Lorraine and then Burgundy. Okamoto is controversially believed to have penned the order authorising the desolation of Lorraine during Kusari's retreat from the theatre, and allegedly oversaw the bombardment of Planet Metz' orbital mirrors.
Sources close to the matter confirmed that authorities were currently investigating Liberty's involvement in the killing, stating recovered evidence indicated the three-man hit squad were LSF operatives. They further noted that Admiral Okamoto had been due to depart for Shikoku to assume command in the near future, motivating the brutal attack.
Oh praise and bless great Niemann for exercising his powers against the WICKED and EVIL Kusarians. He has struck once again against the enemies of Rheinland, this wicked sonofabitch from Kusari.
Praise Niemann for his great powers from beyond the black hole for gifting us this great gift.
And praise Liberty and President Hawthorne, who is a much better president than that evil hag Jacobi.

He was an evil man who stood against the future of Kusari, yet the Light of the Goddess shall forgive all should they turn to her. May her light save his soul, for we would have had no mercy if the Daughters were given the opportunity.

Hearken unto my words, o' citizens of great Kusari. Admiral Okamoto yet lives! Do not trust in these publications, for they bring naught but lies and seek to plant the seeds of chaos.
It is our sacred duty to wield the sword as our revered Emperor wills, and in that time that we shall strike out at the Libertonian dogs behind this, Admiral Okamoto will be by our side. To fervent prayer must we dedicate ourselves until then.
Long live Kusari. Long live the Emperor. Long live Okamoto.
