Hijos de Creta, I have returned home from the talks with the Unioners. We've reached a satisfying deal that has potential. The deal is already in motion as we've managed to assemble two convoys consisting of a mix of Unioner and Deterrence transports above Crete. We will prepare the third one by the end of this week to deliver goods to our clients in Rheinland and prepare for the next phase of the plan. When the Elders are pleased with the outcome of this partnership, we can use their favor to commit to a grander project, one that can benefit the entirety of the Deterrence. As for now, Im asking that you be present and alert, as our enemies will actively try to bring us down.
Now onto Carmens proposal, I must share my concerns with this idea.
Firstly, I admire your optimism to see these machines as 'living' and from what you've described so far, you've had good encouters with them. From my experience these AI have learned to be opportunistic due to their circumstances and Im afraid they could use your naivety to push their own agendas. The Deterrence has had plenty of encounters with AI and it pretty much a gamble as to what kind of AI we're dealing with. We thought them to be homogenous, a shared mind pushing for a singular goal, but their collectives are as fragmented as the Zoner factions that inhabit the Omicrons and the Omegas. They all share the goal of preserving their machine kind, but their methods and ethics differ wildly.
Some machines choose to cooperate with us, it is what you described. They introduce themselves, talk to you, offer insights. They learn from you just as you learn from them. Some have designated us enemy and try to kill us, others decide to join us. We've had machines who have tried to fight for us, only for them to betray us.
Secondly, the collectives you've described are unknown to me, The only collective I know personally is one thats branded EC], they are not too fond of me but I haven't had to fight them so far. Im unsure If I've encountered these Novak and Volatile machines before, I simply can't remember, but I trust you'll be careful when around them or any other AI thats trying to learn from you.
Finally, you must be aware of the potential consequences of associating with these AI. Though they're not numerous, they're sought after by alot of other parties. The vile Core already succeeded in taking a piece of the pie by taking over Gammu for a time and making their own army of AI drones. You will become a target for them if they learn you work with the AI. Then there is Technocracy of Auxo. They are already mistrustful of us and are the closest ally to the machines. It is very likely you'll encounter Auxo and when they see you, they might assume you as trying to steal AI secrets. The Order also wish to dispose of the AI, as they deem it alien and therefore a danger to humanity. They can turn their attention to the Corsairs if we start working with the AI.
It is a very complicated mess of factors that make your proposal, Carmen, extremely difficult to achieve. I don't doubt your success in this, but I feel you might have not grasped all the dangers that come with these machines. The potential is defeinitely there, I can see the vision, but the costs for obtaining it are large. You'll definitely need more that yourself to achieve what you want with them.
DTR-os, I have received a report that I'd like to share with you to keep you informed:
The fight with the scourge that is the Red Hessians has flared up and the Omega 3 and Omega 7 systems have become a Hot Spot for fighting. Its brought enough attention that Rheinlanders and Bretonian forces have stepped in, escalating this situation into a far worse one. Powerful warlords and figures of note are paying handsomly for the heads of each and every one of them. I suspect they are doing this to guard their assets around Cadiz.
The Executor has jumped in on this opportunity and opened the coffers to add on to these bounties. He wants you to keep your fighting skills sharp so the money is a good way to stimulate you. The bounties are already active on the internal network and they'll very soon be available to all corsairs.
Our brothers also just bloodied the Hessians at the Fischer blackhole. A corsair fleet of Cretas finest just arrived to the Fischer black hole. By some chance they encountered a mixed fleet of Coalition and Red Hessians and soon engaged in battle. The danger of the black hole together with the enemies awful tendency to just refuse to die made this fight difficult and some ships were lost. Nevertheless our fleet was victorious and they will continue their mission in the deep Omegas and come back home once finished. The filthy Hessians and their Coalition allies will be left to be swallowed by the black hole.
For now we will focus on Omega 3 and 7 and resolve the issue there. The warlords are organising a fleet tomorrow to hold down the systems and destroy any hostilles that roams around there. This fleet will no doubt get attention on it so expect a response if you make it to the designated coordinates. I will stress it again that the enemy have become more cunning and will use trickery to overpower us. Trust your training and be smart going into these systems, lest you want to meet your doom there. Fortune and Glory will benefit those who survive and thrive in there.
The wicked Hessians and the Coalition have targeted the heart of the Corsairs, our home system. They come in coordinated strike groups, bombers for screening and harassment, then the bulk which is a mix of cruisers, battlecruisers and battleships for firepower. They move throughout our system, disrupting our operations around Tripoli and the debris field, and endangering the system's pickets which are too small to engage them. Creta's defense fleet had to be deployed multiple times to chase them away.
From the battle reports I've read, When they commit their numbers, the hessians, together with the coalition, launch a coordinated attack around Creta's perimeter. Their strength comes from forming a very tight formation with their capital ships that then bombards whatever is in their way. They are strong like this, but not very mobile. Trickery and high mobility will turn their advantage against them. Eventually their formation will crumble and they will be done for.
I tell you all this so you do not underestimate them and you know exactly where to strike when the moment comes. Hunt these groups down, these are our waters, and their blood will stain it red. Their formation is both their strength and their prison. Break it and the rest falls apart. Fortune favors those who are sharp enough to see the weakness and bold enough to exploit it.
Executor, I am contacting you with a deal proposed by the Order,
Colonel Eddy Narson from Order Overwatch reopened a communication channel with us from about a year ago. He wants to move fleets of transport ships through Ionia and Athos to deliver industrial supplies to Order bases deep in the Omicrons. He asks for safe passage and is willing to negotiate 2 things to make this happen.
First, they are relaxing their stances on Azurite gas, making them easier to access for us. The other thing is some technology that the Order is developing. It is meant to be a countermeasure against the emergence of newer more sophisticated jump drives.
The transports that they want to move are a mix of different factions, namely enemies like the GMG and ALG. There will also be Zoners and Freelancers who are contracted alongside the companies to move these supplies.
Given what Colonel Narson has asked us, the things they offer do not seem very appealing. Relaxed stances on exotic gas doesn't satisfy our immediate needs. Omicron Delta stands between us and the Azurite gas and the parties there we're willing to spend all their energy just to drive us out. It will be too dangerous and not worth the effort to start collecting Azurite now until we reestablish our authority in Delta. The promise of the jump drive countermeasure technology is also questionable. We have enough promises and not enough results coming from Evia, so the same thing coming from outsiders needs to be considered very carefully. I see potential in the idea, but the technology is still missing. If we are seeing new jump drives being utilized by others, a countermeasure will be invaluable for the defense of our space. The drives can be used to hinder us if the enemy has them and we don't have something prepared for it.
I however see a third thing that we gain out of this. If we let the transports through, it will allow the Order to rebuild their strength and hold back the Nomad menace from reaching our space, and at the same time also pressure the Core to stay put. We will be essentially investing into a stronger buffer zone between us and our enemies in the Deep Omicrons. However this can set a precedent for our people and for outsiders. That can be managed but it is worth noting.
Executor, I am sharing you this, because I believe you will see value in this deal the Order is proposing us. What they want from us is alot, These are active enemies of the Corsairs that they want us to just let through our space, especially GMG which have recently attacked the Freeport. I recommend excluding them from the list of ships If the Deterrence goes through it. We can also perhaps push more for this technology that they promise and actually get something material out of them.
I leave you to have the final say in this and afterwards I will relay your decision to the Colonel.

The Corsair Empire does not grant passage lightly least of all to those who have raised armas against us. The inclusion of GMG and ALG assets within these convoys is, as you rightly point out, unacceptable under current circumstances. Recent hostilities are not so easily set aside for the convenience of the Order.
That said, we do not ignore opportunity when it presents itself, the strategic value of reinforcing the Order’s position in the deep Omicrons is evident. A strengthened buffer against the Nomads—and a force capable of keeping pressure away from our immediate interest sphere serves our intereses. However, we will not invest in that outcome blindly, or without immediate and tangible returns
It worries me the idea of having those savages from the nebulas in Sigma, and the Rheinlanders in our backyard, but I trust in your judgment and grant you the power to act as you need without need for any other authorization Dimitrious, you did prove to be a really valuable asset for our organization.

With the utmost urgency, I have returned to the warm embrace of our sacred Crete, bearing some truly intriguing news. I was approached by a Phoenix vessel flying the callsign (\^/)Schnee.
To keep a long story sweetly short, the pilot reached out to me regarding the possibility of cease fire. It seems that since the fall of Reincarnation in Omicron Delta, the Nomad presence has spiked even further. We could, of course, simply deny the fact that our ancient foe has fiercely grown stronger, leaving every soul beyond our beautiful Crete to their cold graves... or, we can bravely take up the responsibility once more to face a common enemy.
