Well maybe Morality is not the most 'choicest' of words to use however upon a certain situation this thought has come to my mind...
Take for example lets say a Nomad Hunting Party...
One could argue that within Roleplay it would be wise to send a Cruiser or Three to hunt Nomads due to the space they inhabit being inhospitable zones... However we have a poor Nomad Player who is suddenly ganged up on by several cruisers... In a Nomad Assassin, or Light Fighter.
Or some poor Outcast is ganged up on by a Navy Patrol on the edge of the Badlands...
Now the point I am trying to make; Would it be better to respect the fact that the Player in question is here for Roleplay and not just utterly annihilate him following what you are doing?
Well that sounds a little weird let me try to get the point across more 'clearly'
In RP it sounds logical to send the Cruiser and such to hunt Nomads - But would you would you sacrifice another's Roleplay for your own Roleplays sake? I would think that the Nomad Player in question would be wanting a nice deep milky Roleplay instead of dodging Capital Turrets...

Gameplay and roleplay essentially? If you stick to one too much, the other suffers.
As your example said, a single Nomad would usually be met with a big response but that would destroy the gameplay for the Nomad (Unless they wanted it).
People should have some respect for other players and actually remember they are people behind the characters, people you probably know. They intend to have fun too so chasing them down with multiple battleships might be a bit extreme. HOWEVER it's also equally up to that Nomad not to instigate such a reaction, or at least ask for it not to occur.
Maybe a combination of things might work?

Well Linkus I believe that corners it down... Would in Roleplay you have only fun for yourself most of the time or would you try to have fun with everyone at the same time?
Will it be a Roleplay that YOU will enjoy or will it be a Roleplay that every participant can?

In RP, NOBODY would send a fleet after a single fighter. They would send, at most, a wing of fighters, or a gunboat.
Nomads...Well, they DID get burned in the War, so they would have a slightly better reason to send something bigger.

Well Aaron that first part of your sentence is all to true however the said Cruiser in question can argue that there are the Nomad Gunboat and Battleship Patrols and blah blah...
However there should be the fact that at least several of the Nomad Hunting Players should be in a fighter... As in Roleplay it would make sense for there to infact be fighter escourts...
Or following that logic then the LN/RM/BAF/KNF patrols who are Patrolling without escorts usually would be that unless its the fact that It is infact their home system and the NPCs are there too...

I know this is a PR server, but I say tough on the player. If your going into enemy territory then you should be prepared for a fight. Sending a fleet of Capships after a solitary fighter is a bit far fetched, but nothing wrong with sending 3 fighters.
I used to play a Rogue[R] on PvP servers & often had 5+ wannabies shooting at me - I would expect nothing else, especially on Jolt when it was THE server. Half the fun of playing a Xeno, [R] or Nomad is that everyone hates your guts & just surviving can be an achievement on its own.
Also there is nothing like getting a real kicking to learn what works & what doesn't.
Yes well there is the fact that I have stated that it seems reasonable to be prepared for anything but...
It was the point that... Is it better to Roleplay just for yourself ignoring eachothers feeling just that you have fun? Or Roleplay in a way that is pleasing to all participants but would allow a slight bend of Roleplay or Logic possibly?

RP, yay... More power and all that rubbish. But some things just shouldn't be done. Anyways, the entirety of Liberty's fleet are (no offense) absolutely no good in a fight unless there are 6 of them on one Rogue.
In Lyca, I'd have fought the LSF... If a Borderworld TP and another KoF fighter hadn't gang-banged me.
I'd have fought the rebellious trader... If six LN didn't show up and say, "Have at thee and face justice, villain!"
All the other times, in a 1-on-1 fight, I've annihilated the opposition.
The KNF and RM are experts in the matter, and whenever I've come upon them its been hard. Mostly the KNF, since their ships are tiny. When I was playing my Unioner, the RM's ships are pretty big, so that was slightly less of a challenge, but... I don't know. It seems like all of the LN is just a bunch of Starflier pilots who were put in a Guardian or Executioner.
My morbid summary? It seems like a large majority of the server (all 58 LN of the 60 people in NY at all times) seems to just be in it for themselves.
My hierarchy goes: Server rules>Logic>Preestablished roleplay>Real life inspiration. These are my main guidelines, at least. Stuff you'd ordinarily consider unethical is irrational in my system anyway (like people discovering 55 and 58, which are in the middle of nowhere) and what's more, a number of characters are chivalrous in RP (Kaigun, probably some Outcasts and Hogosha, BAF..)
