Does the official Discovery server reboot automatically after a crash?

hi

the server is down again.. just wondering if the server is set up to automaticallt reboot after every crash or does it need a human to go in and push the reset button?...
(at least ill know not to hang around waiting..)


the other question is -- what kind of machine and OS is the server running on?
I don't suppose it is a Linux server. cpu and memory specs. Just wondering..

it depends,

if it is only the server app that crash, it will auto restart.

Sometime the apps aren't booting correctly, so you need someone to fix it

but if it is something like Power/OS/hardware related, you need someone to reboot it

Although. If they set IONCROSS to run on system start-up, then it should restart. Its when you get application problems, human interaction via Remote desktop is required.
