To all pilots of Liberty,
Some of you may know me from my work in the Liberty Police Incorporated, but you may have noticed I have gone missing of late. This is not a coincidence, nor is it a mystery from this point on.
The Liberty Navy, LPI, and LSF are rotten to the core. I started a naive fool in the LPI, no more. The Navy are pure hypocrites, claiming they abhor the Dark Wing's tactics of attack of the weak. This disgusts me. On many occasions they perform the exact deeds they are criticizing, bringing countless gunboats, cruisers, and battleships to take care of 4 or 5 Xeno fighters or a small Hellfire squad of 1 bomber and 3 fighters. I say this from experience, because I was a part of those battles.
I felt guilt swell up in my gut from the overkill, but I pushed it back down, telling myself: "For the good of Liberty.". I was a fool, most of the pilots of the Liberty Navy enjoy beating down these pirate factions with mass displays of military might. Upholding the law? Maybe. But discretion and forethought is more becoming than a fireworks show. I expect most of you agree.
The LPI? Slave drivers, only interested in bribery and free labor in Sugarland and the Huntsville. They are not exempt from the corruption of Liberty. The LSF? I know I'm not the only one who knows there is more going on in Alaska and Zone 21. Why do they keep it from us? If there is reason for secrecy, what's happening there is not a good thing.
As for me? I have given up my duties as an LPI officer. To the few good souls trapped inside the evil war machine, I implore you. Escape while you still can, find a new life, a new cause. Please. I'm in hiding for the moment, don't try to look for me, because you won't find me. I assure you of that. Where do I go next? I don't know, anywhere but Liberty. I'm finished with it.
To the Dark Wings, I wish you all the luck in the universe. Your admirable actions of selflessly helping Liberty are not unappreciated from this former officer. Apache, you helped me on many an occasion. I thank you, friend. Callsign Bean, you as well offered me great support as well. I wish you the best and a successful escape if that's what it comes down to.
I will accept any transmissions on a special comms channel for this occasion. Tell me your cause, and I will examine it carefully.

I will state that my view of pirate orginizations is not a clear one. Corruption out of Liberty forces is apparent as well, but I might overlook these flaws if their motives strive to serve the greater good, and more importantly: rid Liberty of their rotten leaders and pawns.

Commander, I was contacted by the captain of the Apache. He wishes to express his high regards to you as an officer and he has enjoyed the opportunity he has had to be your wingman. While the view of the Liberty Navy is a confusing one it does seem that the source of the problem is none other then the Admiral and Vice Admiral of the Navy in addition to a third officer.
Recon units have discovered a possible motive for the sudden change in the Navies position which I am not at liberty to discuss at this time. I will disclose this, the accusations would be grounds for execution of these people for act of treason.

Evening sir,
Can you express my gratitude to the compliments payed by the Captian of the Apache. It has been an honour to fly with him also.
On a side note, it does seem to be coming from the high command of the LN, people who unfortunately, have a great amount of power in Liberty. I wish you and your team luck with the deeper exploration of these motives.

Many voices are trying to recruit you to their forces, telling you a one-sided account of their cause.
Don't make the mistake I did. Do your research first, and don't be swayed by promises of a better Liberty. Few who claim to want that are truthful.
The Lane Hackers feed their drug addiction and hedonism by raiding civilian shipping. The Hellfire Legion has no compuncitons about harming civilians and has reportedly attempted orbital bombardment on Manhattan. The Xenos are murderous terrorists motivated out of fear and isolationist paranoia. The 522nd seems noble at first glance, but what would they do if they ever achieved their goals? They want to be rid of Liberty's corruption, but how would they do it? I see words and ideas, but detailed plans are frustratingly absent. That leaves us with the Coalition, a tactically unsound move to say the least. The change we want, the change Liberty needs, cannot be done without any allies, even if you believe what they have in mind is right. I don't, but it's an idea nonetheless.
Why am I saying all of this? I want the same thing as you.
Just, for your own good, don't be rash and join the wrong cause.

Your concern is touching, and not bad advice. My defection to the 522nd is not a rash move in my case. I have studied their claims, and they seem honorable. If they have the power to institute a new government, I do not know. But I will do everything in my power to save Liberty. Even if I have blindly follow my gut instinct for the time being.

EDIT: OOC Author's Note: Jacob's decision to defect to the 522nd is a rash one. And it's supposed to be. He's a 17 year old following gut instinct; not exactly one to think things out fully.
My mind is made up, Liberty must be overthrown. And I will do everything in my power to fix it. To build it back up to the glorious empire it might have been such a long time ago.
