I wasn't even aware that the Firefly was an import at all. now that I know it is, I do agree that the firefly should be removed eventually, however, it's one of the least recognizable imports. Perhaps we should work on replacing the more recognizable ones first?

I for one recognize serenity easier than I recognize the BH caps as star wars ships, and I didn't even know about homeworld until this thread.

It's an incredible amount of work that goes into updating the mod. We can't expect everything to happen at once. I know quite a few replacements for various imports are done for 4.85, and hopefully we'll see the rest done for 4.86.

That's your opinion & your entitled to it, but I'm looking at SS's of the firefly & startracker now, & I think that they are similar enough & it should stay for that reason...no point in going back & forth saying:
"no it doesn't"

There isn't time. Notice the system submissions deadline for October 9. Ships and rumors and whatnot will follow shortly, so, like I and others have said a bazillion times,

If someone has a concept for a Firefly replace, they should go ahead. Its an import. But if their efforts can be directed anywhere, there are bigger fish to fry. Your poll revealed that a rather decent amount of people had seen Firefly, but try that again with, say, Star Wars. Or, post pics of the Homeworld ships and ask people if they think they're hideous. Same with Waran, or X-Shuttle. I'm not disagreeing with you here, it's an import and should be replaced. But so should the Homeworld ships, the Star Wars ships, the Waran, etc. Those ships are either A) far more recognizable to the majority of people, or B) distastefully ugly and low poly to the extent that you break immersion to spit. But if there's time before the new mod, then by all means replace it.
