It doesn't take much time to remove a ship. Any mid sized transport model can be used to replace it until those that fly it can sell it if there is no player wipe. Even if you don't want to do that it can be removed for sale in the new version and those flying it told to sell it asap. If there is a player wipe it can simply be removed.
It doesn't look like a starflea at all, a starflea has wings, internal engine and a single plane body, the firefly shares none of those characteristics.

I have my opinion & he has his...the diference is my ego doesn't have an impulsive desire to try to pass off my opinion as fact. If it ends up getting removed I'll miss it, but thats as far as it goes;)
when you are so eager to replace that ship Akumabito, please submit us with new model that has some distinct resemblance to brett ship but has strong smuggler line to it.
If you make model that has acceptable quality, i promise that i will texture it and add hardpoints so that ship can be used as replacement.
Until then every other discussion is futile.
Also, since i have some feeling about what your answer will be, let me just be frank when i say that rest of modelers have their schedule full, since many things remained to be finished. So, since this issue, apparently, bugs you a lot more then others, why don't you be the one who will solve it?
New release or not, there will be a great deal of imports left in game simply because there isn't time to replace them with new models.

Why does it need a new model? Why not simply remove it?
I have modeled a few ships but am no longer set up for it. What's the deadline to get the model to you?
Deadline for submissions is something like 22 days from now.
We can't delete it, it would require a player wipe.
