I was about to ask why are people calling the Diamond/niobium run ooRP? Because it has always , ALWAYS been a part of Freelancer. Gronath said it quite well i think, but I would like your reasons why you consider it ooRP.
Balthazzar, What should it matter to you what people think of you? If they "think of you as a powertrader" then let them. You continue doing what you have to do, don't let the other chaff bother you. Otherwise you just play the "pleasing everyone" game and that's not healthy for you.

you can make a run out of anything, how bout water? EH?! everyone loves water, seriously. 15 credits on some random planet and sell it at a base of some sort, usualy in omega, even if you dont want to go to pirate bases, you can take it to solarius or something, turns 70k into over a mil or something, i dont remember.
or interhouse trading, optronics from leeds to cambridge, about 5mil investment, 7mil on cambridge, easy 2mil!
another, planet harris, 799 per prisoner, take them practicaly anywhere and you've got a profit, even back to leeds its about twice the price, whatever you invest you double up on.
Also, after reading the new ID proposals you'll notice that trader ID and zoner ID are now limited in cargo space, so you've pretty much got to join some sort of faction to keep that adv. train, so find some kind of trade RP, if you're synth food, trade lux food from cambridge to somewhere in liberty, even to curacau its a chunky profit, not power trader level, but why does it matter?
miner? trade minerals from falkland or something, the source will give rock bottom prices regardless of if they're super profitable to some OORP location, Niboium from falkland to say, Kensington if you're a IMG trader is perfect RP (IMG > gateway base), and its reasonably profitable.
just remember what the factions RP is, and search for where their goods sell well. haulage corps can do most things and can operate from the trading platforms such as Kennsington and uh, whatever the other houses use.
You have to do whats right for you. If you like doing the diamond/niobium run, then you lead a sheltered life...
Do it when you need to do a job in Kusari and happen to be in Rhineland but don't stick to it. Trading is generally boring (sorry to all you people who think otherwise). The most excitement you get is from a well RP'ed pirate. Spice it up and make a point of visiting as many stations as you can along a route. You'll get all the commodity prices of those stations. Then try the return journey using a different path, again stopping at every station. Some earlier posts here give you some ideas for trade routes. Take them on-board and try them stopping en-route. You may find something in high demand, that you didn't know about elsewhere but happen to already know the very station where you can get it uber cheap.
Once you've done pretty much all the obvious runs, move to the edge worlds. Things can get pretty hot out there so don't expect to get away with much, pay the taxes and stop at every station/planet. This kind of 'Discovering' (did you like what I did there?) will enable you to develop your own character. Not someone elses pre-conceptions of what you should be. If you've done all the trading your stomach can handle, you might want to look at the seedier side of trading. The Smuggler.
You would now be equipped with all the best prices of almost every commodity and all the JH's and back roads into every system across Sirius. Use that knowledge. The law enforcers are more plentiful, generally better orgainised and far more unpleasant than the pirates. They not only tax/fine you, they destroy your cargo as well!
You now are armed with the 'knowhow' to make their life catching you as difficult as possible.
Fighting (or running) has to be more fun as a smuggler than just plain trading. I'd let you know for sure if I ever do it....

some cool kid on this forum said that and all the other children folloed his statement flamming people who do this run...its unfortunately closly connected to the russian problem and the BH BC problem.

tell me about it.... I have always been like that... i can't stand people hating me. But instead of fighting them i simply try to improve myself. Truth is...one can never be good enough.
Otherwise: Thanks guys. Thanks for your feedback on this thread and those who sent me thair trade secrets via PM. You guys have been most helpful.
We still have openings for 5 ships. We fly regular cargo runs that are VERY much in RP - and you also can get escorts as well.
One requirement - a BH tag, with a trader ID. It's a pain to do rep adjustments with an adv train (I know - been there, done that) - but it's possible. (Okay, two other requirements - you do have to apply, and you do have to have your ship named as one of the remaining available ones.
