SSSR or CCCP or whatever you call it was the winner in the alliance VS Coalition war.
in other words... this game is built on a cliche that when communism prevails the universe will fall into darkness and the "good guys" namely capitalists such as America, japan, Germany and great Brittan escaped with only 6 sleeper ships (or were there more).
SCRA found them. So the coalition may invade Sirius in some unseen distant future.
we can only dream of what might be. Personally id like dam kavosh to come back. Nomads go amok on everyone. Coalition and Alliance fight both them and eachother so we players have lots of fireworks and a free for all deathmatch between races/nations.
national unity is fine and dandy, but we don't need every Tom, Dick, and Malaysia in the damn mod. edit: I'm from the US, but do i spend my time in Liberty? nope, avoid it like the plague unless the SCRA is blowing stuff up there. do i care? nope.
besides, ESPECIALLY with the eastern-bloc nations and such, they were COALITION. guess what happened to the Coalition. They were wiped out, left in Sol, gone, finito, end of story...
...except for a few intrepid survivors aboard the Hispania. And all...A L L...of these are accounted for in the SCRA currently getting prepared to wreak havoc throughout Sirius.

Coalition won in Sol. They rule it now. It was the Americans, Japanese, Spanish, French, German and British that were wiped out entirely and only few managed to escape with sleeper ships to Sirius.

Hispania are capitalists and are not part of the Coalition. They were part of the alliance. It was the civil war between corsair and outcasts and the drug disputes that made them hostile to other Houses.

See above. It's widely rumored that Coalition spies snuck aboard the Hispania and set off charges that caused it to go much slower reaching Sirius. This is also the main canon of the SCRA, why they came to Sirius in the 1st place.

I believe that the Coalition were the main cause of this because the Nomads were watching humanity literally tear itself apart in the war. The Alliance wanted peace, but the Coalition decided to attack them as they powered down their ships. When the Nomads saw humanity continue to tear itself apart (Coalition was attacking, Alliance was defending), they deemed them unworthy to live. Of course, I'm also biased against the Coalition.

thats all fine and dandy but how did nomads end up in sol? makes no sense. I thought the only reason they hate the humans is because they colonised Sirius...nomads had been given the task of defending sirius from invaders from the dam kavosh

According to the Extended Intro (Which was declared canon by the game developers) Sol was anihilated by the Nomads, including all Coalition forces and remaining Alliance forces.

The SCRA are Coalition saboteurs who were onboard the Hispania. They crippled it and hence the later arrival of the ship. The Outcasts and Corsairs have nothing to do with the Coalition. They didn't even exist back then but probably fought side by side against the Coalition.
Of course, believe as you wish but that is what is the 'accepted' history here in Disco.
The Coalition have no found the Alliance in Sirius and never will, since they do not exist. Their only remnant are the SCRA. Of course, they could have had sleeperships like the Alliance but smaller etc for colonising far away systems etc. So the possibility is always there, which brings a very very fun idea to mind..
