Out of roleplay for a corsair gunboat to be carrying cap ship armour?

We are rapidly approaching the point where we will start to see posts like, "I fly a Patriot but I realize it turns way better than a Mule--am I able to fully use the turn capability without being oorp? Should I fly slowly since the silhouette is so small when fighting a bigger ships so they have a better chance of hitting me?

actually it will be more along the lines of:

"Waaah, my mule got pwned by a patriot, they should be OORP for turning so fast!"

I actually only use Universal MK VIII on my gunboat, because I don't wanna spend 800 mill on armour for a 20 mill vessel, and it doesn't take up much cargo space...

actually i suspect if a gunboat has the cargo space for cap ship armour Mk 8, given its maneuverability and number of gunds, it will be a veritable and nigh unbeatable killing machine.

The Corsairs aren't rich. They survive. The Outcasts make so much off Cardamine that they barely pirate anymore, only having fighter wings to protect their drug empire.

i guess what elgatodiablo was trying to say is that corsairs, while they may hev power and wealth, still have to live on the outskirts of the universe furtively running around without the trappings of supposedly highly developed nations like Liberty and Rheinland with their strong middle class base.

Liberty is a bit of a joke really, seeing that the model on which it is based on (the USA) is now sliding into the third world.
