' Wrote:It does seem like a nice way of having any negative feedback of our factions hidden from public view.
I can understand why a faction like the AI would not want any feedback, as it was a touchy start.
But they are doing very well now, maybe it would be the right time to open one.
One thing I do know is that if you have no feedback thread, you can't complain if people create their own for you.
This, plus what Zelot just said. I cannot say I do not share these thoughts, some transparency is needed to let everybody see what the problems are and how they are going to be resolved.
Lo
True, the Iseijin are complex and delicate. When we get our ID and some more structure in the faction, then a feedback thread would be nice.
That is no problem, but right now with people who just want to bitch and flame, people will catch on to the negativity and hate on the faction even before they've ever met us.

Good luck with that xD
By not having a feedback thread, you avoid having to listen to negative critisism you don't want to hear, but at the same time you miss out on constructive critisism that comes from it. By not having feedback, you're saying "My faction is perfect, my faction is always right, and if you have a problem with it, then your opinion is wrong and I don't want to hear it." From my experiences with Exile though, I'm not surprised at all he doesn't have feedback threads, since he'd never listen, admit something is wrong or make compromise any way.
Would a Mod please remove Divine's post, it is not constructive.
Now to the subject.
Akura, I understand where you are coming from with the idea, the problem is it's not about you today. It's about the idea that people are preemptively considering all feedback negative. Thats not cool. The second thing is that we place a whole lot of power to effect other people's game play and fun in our faction leaders and public feedback threads are one of the things that help to keep them honest. Lastly, what is considered well constructed and thought out feedback by one person is not to another, it is all personal, but I have seen threads with feedback for the GRN that I thought were pretty reasonable locked. In most cases where these threads are locked the mod say, "This should be posted in the feedback thread" in a fairly chastising manner, but lo and behold? No feedback thread to post it in.
As for me, I am very concerned about the way the GRN treat the UC and the effect it will have on the game in general, but I dont really have any place to discuss it, nor does it seem do the many other people who share my concern. To be perfectly honest, I wish that Exile was as interested in making sure other factions have the ability to play out their rp ingame as he is in making sure other factions allow the Aoi to play out their rp ingame.
Oh, but now I have gone and posted feedback, so this thread will probably be locked as flame bait.

Don't bring that issue up again. I know exactly what "experience" you are referring to and I feel it's extremely unfair to judge him in that light. You had multiple ways of avoiding the course of events develop like they did and you avoided them simply by assuming we could mind-read your thoughts and act accordingly.
Finally you act like everything should happen in accordance to your personal preferences. What you just said about Exile is exactly what defined your actions in that event.

I can find middle-ground here. Feedback threads have sometimes proven to be very beneficial for a Faction, yes but be honest with me here, how much of that "constructive criticism" have you seen flying around lately?
The absolute common feedback post is general negativity that usually touches the subject of PvP. And the rest are just a copy-paste of a standard kudos. "You guys RP great love to see you next time".

That ain't defined as constructive either.
As I said, then we should get rid of them all, but thats a diffrent question for a diffrent thread.
Edit: I should also point out that currently Exile is the last post in the Phantoms feedack thread. He uses other factions feedback threads, so he must feel there is some merit in it, or he just can dish it out but not take it.
I would like to see feedback threads made for all official faction, mostly due to the points Zelot has been raising.
Surely it would be just as easy to have any posts that were stupid, off topic or contained flames deleted as it would be to have threads locked when they contain flamage.
