Good Evening. Currently in between 12 hour shifts.
I have GMG|GTS-Raikoke already made and flying a Container Transport.
I believe on Monday I'll be able to make GMG|Jin'ko.Hayate and she'll be in a Taiidan Bomber.

A new point: I'm against us using the Big Dragon Transport. It's produced by Samura, who the GMG are cutting ties to in RP, and quite frankly, we don't need it.

I think we should discuss that one, roster being updated now.

Also, everyone, the rank 83 GMG ship is not a BS, simply our GB with 500 mill on it.

I'm also putting 5 characters at the top, everyone elses are Rookies atm.

I allways loved the GMG , And i'm would love to join the GMG in an Eagle filled up if Skyblasters;)

And yeah , GMG should only fly in Independent Systems in their interests . and avoid the Houses.

Nice RPing with you, i was on the Samura Storage Starflea when i met you in Shikoku while you were off doing an H-fuel run to liberty, caught me off guard seeing so many GMG vessels.

The infocard on the Kusari Explorer is pretty much in keeping with the GMG description, ditto the Viper, Taiidan models, civ ships; chuck in the CT, Whale, GMG miner and you have a very nice and distinct set-up.

On the GMG faction description there are two important words "professional" and "tight-knit". You guys will be under a lot of scrutiny in 13. Main problem I see for you is to overcome Sigma 13's problems, but I imagine with the GMG base being far from the NB JH they won't be as bad as at Yanagi. The temptation may be to attempt to exercise control over the system as a whole, which is like solving the global credit crisis while committing seppuku with a rusty spoon. The longevity of the faction will stem from expanded RP opportunities, considering the eventuality of the Diamond-Niobium route vanishing. My two cents: look closely at the last attempt at the GMG or maybe talk to other faction leaders to see if you can get some leeway to allow you to establish yourselves there.

The amount of traffic in 13 shouldn't influence you into making silly diplomacy decisions or making assertions you can't (yet) enforce. Perhaps avoiding 13 completely at first will allow you to get a picture of how your faction will best function - in terms of status, the GMG is equally important to all of the Houses, as powerful as the Zoners, just not as wide-spread.

One suggestion: develop the ranking system. Five main executives all on equal footing - perhaps divide up responsibilities so each exec has something to develop; allow for transfers across divisions and make room for people to get promoted: it's nice to have something to aim for when you join a faction. As I see it, you could divide the workload - one exec to manage security division; one for mining; one for trade; one for diplomacy (helps to avoid making contradictory statements); one for facility management: you have four stations altogether to maintain a presence in. Different people play the game for different reasons - you guys have the opportunity to really draw in quality and varied members by offering something for everyone.

I'll hopefully apply to join later when I have a bit more time. Hmmmmm skyblasts are nice turrets...... Best of luck with it.

Aye, atm, Mining is kinda.... pointless, but we have someone working on... wait for it.... H Fuel mining, maybe even possible for 4.85

As for 13, we've destroyed 2 OC Dessies that have strayed too close the the Gas Miner (Hovering above it), and thats all

also, we are working with a few other factions for some RP going, and I'm hoping to talk to Trevalyn about some RP with the IMG

Mining might seem pointless to you and me, but you don't have to do it all day long. This is the point I was trying, badly, to make about varying your activities so you can offer more to members.

Occasionally people like to write reports and RP more varied things so it at least provides an opportunity to do that. I know a few people who can really bring a faction to life on the forums in this respect. (Agmen is a classic example of this. His posts are incredible, and hardly relate to combat at all - all pure intelligence gathering and research as denoted by his role as intelligence officer for us.)

That at least provides a structure for a forum post on a mining expedition. So rather than say "I'm going mining" you "conduct a feasibility study". A cosmetic change, certainly, but if you are going to mine, why not do it in a way that elevates you.

Good point, Athenian. I was actually totally planning on doing something of the sort.

Also, I would like for us to have a message dump. It's a good way for new members to get theirselves involved in the faction, and provides an excellent RP applet for all in the Guild.
