For some reason, a lot of the time when I connect to the server, or sometimes to other applications, but mostly the server, my modem bums out and is forced to restart.

Any idea why?

maybe your modem driver is outdated?

have you been on your modems manufactor site and see the drivers ? or did you just made a normal search for it?

Aye, went to the BT site. It only ever needs drivers if using the USB port.
