'Yes, Cortez...' confirmed Bernard 'See to put those pilots under surveilance, something may be happening here, though I doubt it, be discreet!'. 'Well Kristy, they know... The game's afoot then...' he said to the empty room, stood up and went to the door. Outside, it was a rainy day on Malta. His personal transport was waiting for him to take him to Don Pryde's Villa. Kristy walked into engineering room of the Pearl, there where panels Removed yards Of wireing, and circut boards. Men where working all over, re-welding the Brand new Reactor into place, installing new wireing. A Red haired man walk up to her.

" Elo Captain, and how ya been, per-ty ain't she? " he smiled as he turned to the the Reactor. " She puts out the same amount of energy as the hold one, buts half the size, they youse these on the Our bigger cousins. " he smiled.

" Erick, do you think you could fit this in here? " Kristy handed him a set of Schematics. He looked them over, had a puzzeled look, on his face, then spoke up.

" Yeah, I think we can Install this, but to use something this strong would drain the Reactor, and we'd have to wait before using the main guns. " he set the drawings on his desk then brought up the designs for the Osirus, " I could Install a pair of Niobium batterys that this thing can fead off instead, good thing ya brought this to me know, I was about to seal these sections, well another all nighter for me again, by the way, what does this thing do? " he asked.

Kristy just smiled, " Thats a surprise, thanks erick, I'm need back planet side for a meeting with Night, contact me If theres any problems ok? ".

He nodded, will do boss, and with kristy leaving he called up all the work crews for the new design.

'Fokke Estates', Nightfall's Hacienda...

It was dusk at this time of year. The House was placed on top of a high cliff. It had simple, elegant and clean lines. There was a pool of 'olympic' size with blue lights under the surface giving an unreal glow to it. The entire complex covered an impressive area. Positional lights on the landing pads were glowing a red light. Below the cliff was a magnificent view on a river flowing in the middle of endless fields of orange grass. A thousand points of shimmering lights could be seen -- the Cardamine workers on the plantations -- the Cardamine, the Cardamine made a paradise of what was once a prison... A light breeze from the east was cooling the air -- a storm was comming, one could smell the ozone.

'Kristina, my dear, you've risen a lot of interrest with this little project of refitting the Hispania...' said Bernard '... we got Hackers, Rogues, Dragons... even Corsairs and Phantoms here. ...and, I nearly forgot -- the hackers sent info on a convoy of Optronics and Engine Components, I took the liberty to order an attack. The Raiders should be back soon...'

They were on the terrace looking at the multitude of shimmering lights below them. The complete Ghosts of Razgriz were there, scattered over the ground floor of the Hacienda -- watching the game, enjoying the view from the terrace, having a good glass of favorite drink after the dinner...
The Hacienda served mainly as private quarters for the Ghosts. Otherwise it would be pretty much empty except for the maintainance staff. With his travels around Sirius, Bernard wasn't spending too much time there.

The raped hulks of what were once proud rheinland gunboats floated brokenly through the asteriod feild of New Berlin. A cruiser and a battleship limped away to the saftey of the planet. A Hugenot was attached to the hull of one of the gunboats and its crew was busy taking apart all vital systems and the loot. The rheinland crew lay on the deck spawled in a long line down the hallways, each with a perfect bullet hole is his or hers head.

Pirate Lord Verginix stood on the bridge of this cruiser the Defiant Retribution
. He watched as his fighters swared over the hulks like flys on a dead Argrax and smiled. Today was a good day. The fily house scum had cowered beofre his fleet. Soon they would see the true light and become one with the helghast. Unfortunatly He was reduced to petty pirating until an Even stronger fleet could be established.

One of his junior officers came up beside him. "Sir, we have enough parts. If the outcasts can give the designs, we can construct another hugenot."

"This is good news. The rumors going around say that the outcasts are re-building there space hulk. Only the Emperor knows why but we can do a trade here. Some of these parts for those plans could set us ahead.

Verginix's crewmen left the gunboats. The had planted heat beacons and bombs on the hulks. The becons would make the foolish rheinlands belive there were survivors and when the rescue fleet docked with the usless ships, he would detonate and aheinhilate more of them.

He sat down at his lectern and voxed a message to the outcast homeworld.

We have military grade parts for barter. We will give them to you if you give us the designs for your hugenot ships. I can asure you you will be rewarded more in the future should you choose to assist us.

" he walked up next to her, and also staired at the glowing golden fields, and distant lights of other settlements. " As of right now, other that humans, there are four slien races In sirrus, some in very small numbers, such as the Miralukins, some that are servants, such as the Phantoms, and Others, who wish to observe, such as the Shadows ", there was a pause between them.

" Shadows, who are they Ive never seen, or heard of them before. "
bernard asked, there name did sound familiar though, " There, well they where a warrior group that fought the nomads several millenia ago, but a terrible plague dwindled there numbers to almost nothing. "

Bernard looked over, " So what are they doing now? " Kristy smiled, " Well, If your thinking there going to attack, don't worry cause there not, there not strong enough to attack everyone, no there passive observers, watching over the younger races to see what there doing, There true name is ten thousand letters long, impossible for humans to say it. " she sipped her drink then continued, " When humans where learning to make Fire, the Shadows and Nomads where fighting here in Sirrus, I don't know how long they've been around, but Its in the tens of millions of years, and now whats left of them hide in seclusion here in Sirrus, Did you want to meet one? " Bernard choked on his drink, " What! You've got to be kidding, me here, now? " kristy winked then set her glass on the banister, she turned around and simply looked in towards the house.

A few moments later, Bernard felt another presence join him, then out of nowhere a strange black creature, looking like a waiste high Prang-mantis silently materialized in front of them, It had large pincers in from, and what looked like twelve eyes. It emitted a series of clicks and whisp sounds, and Kristy smiled then replied, " Maybe you should take a more Human Form " and im a few moments it reshaped itself, into a Male human, Tall, with slicked back black hair, and a buisness suit on.

" Sorry to surprise you Mr Fokke, I was unsure what effect Our normal shape would have on you, You can call me Mr M " Bernard was a little surprised to say the least, but seeing a Human-like shape made the conversation a little bit easyier, " How is it you can take Human for, are you shape shifters? " Mr M smiled " hehe, no we can't shapesift, but we can control Light and shadow, Creating Images Of almost anything, a Table, A person even a control panel on a ships bulkhead, It helps us hide when where onboard ships " Bernard walked up, and waved his hand through Mr M's body, " Whoa...cool, but what do they have to do with the Hispania, and this ever watching fealing you have? " kristy pointed to the Alaska Jumpgate, " Burning, destroyed by this fleet as it entered the system but the fleet isn't whats got me worried, Its that " The three looked at the Nomad, and Phantom Fleet, and at its center, a Massive ship de cloaked, It was nomad for sure, But four times larger than there biggest battleships.

" What in the hell is that ? " Bernard asked, and Mr M spoke up, " That, is a Nomad Planet Killer, It has the ability to destroy entire planetary systems by making Its Sun Go Nova. " As he spoke the Massive ship Expanded its forward section, and gained massive power in it, and in a awsome show of power, fired it at Manhattan, Bernard watched as it Penetrated the Planets Crust, and detonated at its Core, Imploding the planet into a massive Black hole.

" This Ship has been used twice before in sirrus, Once on our Home world, Near Omicron Alpha, and again on the Dam'ka'vash Home world down near Omega-41, You'll see there Black holes where our, and there homes once where, and now it seems there going to use it on your worlds now " as he finish they returned to the Villa, once back Kristy spoke up.

" Ive had dreams where they used it on every major planet colony in Sirrus, Berlin, London, Tokyo, Manhattan, Crete, and malta, just to name a few, the only problem is that I have No Idea when this is going to happen, or even if its going to happen at all, but I want to be prepaired, And have the hispania Ready to leave sirrus just in case, Even if that means rebuilding her piece by piece, but theres no point worrying about the unknown, lets head back to the guys and see how the games going, thank you for coming again Mr M, ill keep in touch "
