Just an idea to anyone to grab on. If I were to setup (or have) a bounty hunter character I would start a personal blog type of thing how you are tracking down the individual through hints and seedy bars first getting my hands on the known associates. I've never seen anyone go through the trouble for this yet.
So if this idea flies I think the top 10 list should include also known associates, whereabouts etc. otherwise it's just looking at the chat window and flying there and trying to take him down.
So add that to bad-ass applicants list as well. One thing to "force" this would be the bounty be collectible only after documented chase. I have to say that also those hiring hits have not demanded anything like this.
There's a niche for a snitch character (Loud-mouth-Joey) as well.
Another separate idea which came to my mind is why not setup a ACE BOUNTY HUNTER -list which lists those who have collected most bounties? I see no such list. It would revitalize the bounty hunter business somewhat.
Good ideas all, looqas, and the BPA has a list of which hunters have collected how many bounties (Esther sits pretty at 19 right now). Bounty Hunters are fun, when you play them like this.
Yeh 52 (or 54) wanted criminals printed on a pack of cards. This could be pretty easily photoshopped together...
The US forces in iraq and afganistan had (not sure if they still do) a pack of cards with the wanted men in the region printed on them. Osama Bin-Laden being the lucky ol' fella printed on the Ace of Spades.
I think each faction could list its greatest foes, perhaps, including pirate factions, complete with reasoning why, lists of possible rewards and an image as well as target information.
For instance, Bretonia's ten most wanted would be different from Liberty's, and the Corsairs would be a whole new ball-game.
This could offer great RP for potential BHG if someone is happy to maintain the lists. The BHG might even make their own list, taking the highest bounties listed in the other Most Wanted lists, and noting that 'The Following Persons Bleed Credits.'
Perhaps a collaboration from police and corporate factions, as well as the S/D Agency could help create such professional, long term, potentially pinned bounty boards, instead of harder to monitor one line posts of '10 mil to kill blah'.
There could be restrictions or information on the head of each bounty. Information on which ships and names the individual uses, for instance, ight be required, as well as an image or something.
Maybe it's just me, or it is actually hard to remember who is wanted dead by who around here.
