Sulu was having a quick drink at the bar on Yukawa Shipyards, Honshu.

After spending hours with the technicians that were refitting the Kurashiki, a good drink and some rest were the only things he was desired,
not that he was making it publicly clear anyway.
After having consumed the drink, he is approached by a quite worried Kurashiki's second in command.

"Outcast destroyer Sulu Sensei, we just received a distress call from several vessels in New Tokyo, including Naval Forces fighters.
Apparently the Kurashiki is the only naval destroyer available that can reach the place in a reasonable time, we are also to expect bomber backup from Akamoto Sensei."

"Hai! Too bad Kazuo isn't here with the Miyazaki but luckily I've already drank my sake, I am ready."

The Kurashiki launched from Yukawa Shipyards and set the course for New Tokyo at full speed.
After arriving at the location of the disress call, near Shinjuku Station, nothing could be found but debris...and the Daii Katsu escape pod, luckily alive,
trying to send emergency signals.

"They're hiding... but they're near…

The sensors aren't picking up any cruise signatures here; she is proceeding at normal speed and thrusters most likely, to prevent her course from being detected.
They plan to hit again... I have a bad feeling, set the course for the planet! And tractor in that escape pod."

"Hai! Sulu Sensei"

While the Kurashiki proceeded toward the planet at full speed, Akamoto's bomber jumped in from Kyushu and started heading for Planet New Tokyo.

When he arrived, following the Kurashiki's transponder, he found her in combat with the Outcast destroyer, identified as -=REAVERS=-Raynor, almost orbiting the Planet.
That is a dangerous place to fight, almost everybody know the trick... but sometimes it doesn't help anyway.
Akamoto comms received a transmission.

"Now Sensei, shields are down!"

The agile Catamaran bomber quickly unloaded its ordinance, a MiniRazor and a Supernova in rapid succession, upon the destroyer hull who falls apart like if it was butter.

Sulu was walking with hurry along the Matsue's corridors.
The strong light of Hiroshima twin suns was penetrating inside the station, touching his face every time he was passing a window.
Finally, he reached the hangar bay.

Technicians were busy enough pulling inside a Chimaera that the towing ship 'Aisai.Maru' just brought there from open space,
they hadn't noticed the admiral entering the room.

The admiral was known for having a particular care regarding formal procedures but this time he didn't say anything and stood still in the doorway,
watching silently as the operation was taking place.

As the Chimaera finally reached the docking clamps and it was secured, one of the technicians noticed the admiral and stood quickly on ready position.

"Kaigun Taishō on the bridge!"

"At ease..." firmly replied the admiral, now moving toward the vessel

"...Open it!"

Kazuo Sugino' chimaera cockpit was soon opened and by the admiral unbelieving eyes...it was empty.
