I just read from page 12 to page 16 of this as it was all new posts and I gotta say ... CALM THE HELL DOWN.

While some of the points the others have raised may be valid, it's not like half of the other factions out there don't commit those same TERRIBLE crimes. -.-

It just seems to me like the DW are the medium through which everybody channels their hate towards the folks on the server they don't like. Yes, DW have screw-ups, they screw up more publicly than some other folk. That doesn't mean they're a horrific faction that should be shut down for PvP whoring, not talking ever and being isolationists - mostly because it's untrue.

To sum up, I think you guys are alright as it goes. You need to dot your 'i's and cross your 't's a little more but otherwise, you're alright.

A DW Battleship appeared at Bornholm demanding to kill a Harvester Gunboat... We told the Shaitan numerous times that engagements near Bornholm Depot will not be stood for and that he can engage the Harvester some other time...
The Shaitan began cruising towards Bornholm, we opened fire to preserve the 522nd's assets.

The day after the Shaitan attacked my Gunboat, and even brought the Revenge to Intercept me fleeing...

Unless 'Violating Restricted Space' is that to you then... meh...

After your hostilities were confirmed by the Shaitan and Revenge we began attacking you and driving you out as you where a liability and a threat to the safety of the 522nd... The Harvesters there who also fought you are a big help... But we assisted them after you attacked us.

First actually what the Shai'tan was going after was a pair of Talarca cruisers.
Second the Shai'tan was sitting still when 522 attacked him. In fact come to find out later it was your trader that ordered the 522 to open fire. First fire was made by 522 not DW.
Third the Shai'tan was sitting 12k from the planet and about 10k from the station.
Fourth the Shai'tan was demanding that the Harvester leave the area nothing more.

And on the notes of shooting without saying a word.
Nice shot to the 522 battlecruiser that undocked near Fort Bush and then killed a DW without saying a single word yesterday.

I'm going to try to be constructive with this post, if it sounds like I'm repeating everything that was said earlier, just try to ignore it.

Anyways, from what I have seen in game, the DW do not mess around when it comes to taking down pirates, they do patrols and watch for smugglers, stuff that a BH should do on a daily basis. However, the methods they use to accomplish this and how they go about it are not appropriate in terms of RP and fairplay. For example (I know this has been stated before but it is an issue), the ships you guys fly are mostly caps (usually gunships which is better than a battle cruiser but still on the big side). If I were you guys I would limit the amount of cap ships you use and make sure the people who fly them can RP them correctly and know the rules. Try to switch over to bombers, most pirates do not fly cap ships and for the ones that do you will have an easy time killing while not overkilling the guy which brings me to my next point.

When you go to kill a target with a bounty on their heads, say something! Try to make it as BHish as possible and maybe even get something more than a fight out of your target (such as a chase for example). As for dealing with pirates, either a lone pirate or a group of them, please try to not overkill them. For example, there are 5 DW and there is a lone pirate or two pirating in bombers or fighters, don't send a fleet of cruisers or gunships to take them down! Just send two good bomber or fighters after them and try to RP with the pirates.

Those are some key points that I think the DW should focus on. If you manage to get those problems under control I'm sure a lot of other small problems will go away along with those issues.

You guys have a lot of potential and I'm sure if everyone tries hard enough, this faction will prosper and get a new reputation as a dangerous BH faction.

Actually, this is incorrect, thus compounding all of the problems with DW mentioned in above post. The force you've described is something that's been colloquially named a 'Sirius Police Force' which is something a BHG is not. BHG are meant to take bounty contracts, not intercept smugglers and pirates. If they have a grudge against said pirates, or they are being paid to intercept those smugglers, than they can go ahead, but unless they are under contract there isn't a thing they can do, really, but defend space that is definitively theirs and look for work. It's really nothing but a glorified mercenary.

I got caught for cardamine and was forced to jettison it. Also on a separate occassion in the same char with same name and i took some slaves for a tour around texas I wasn't shot on sight... i was responded to angrily, warned and rightly so, i was a known smuggler... After much discussion though, as i was leaving and had returned the slaves i was personally attacked in pm, although i believe i think he did apologise the next day... i can't remember

From that the ZAS idea was developed, which has been received well by you, we've cooperated on several occassions, ie. when you've had to destroy a slaveship I've saved them for you. Also i'm noticing you're using less gunboats then you did.
