Because that has happened more times then I can count and they never received any kind of warning.
I have asked SEVERAL times for there to be some kind of distance and the only comment up till now regarding it from an admin was Hoodlums comment of "a pilot knows when he is disengaging".

And as an additional note, Im getting a little fed up with this its ok for everyone else to do something until DW does it then suddenly its not ok.

It's not okay for either, but you are an official faction, therefore you will be singled out before random indies doing the same things.

Like the times players insult.......
Like the times some players complain in green chat to me when killed in a fight....
Like the times some players dont leave system when killed but make up excuses why.....
Like the times some players complain about what ships we are flying.....
Like the times that people attack, fly away and disappear off scanner then return and attack.....
Like the times we don't get replies from players before a fight.....
Like the player that posts we should do this and that or leave....of course its not a flame he says:angry2:

I really have lost sight of why this thread is even here. Do you want people to comment on how you are acting? You say that it's always the same thing when people post. Why is that? Is it maybe because the same problems are still being encountered?

Every time criticism, constructive or otherwise, comes at you, you either excuse your way out of it, or say "Since other people do it, we will too".

I'm sorry, I'm done here (hide your excitement, please). I've lost all respect for you as a faction. You just aren't mature enough in my opinion to run an official faction. A capable faction leader needs to listen, and to take it with a grain of salt. You're the face (or one of the few) of one of the most controversial identifications in Discovery. You REALLY need some thick skin, and good communication skills for that.

There will always be the stupid people on the server who won't reply to your RP. There will always be stupid people who whine and don't follow the rules. It's unavoidable. That's no excuse for you to act like them in ANY way. You have official status here. You have to show you deserve it. Some of you RP great! Raekur, I've seen you ingame and most of the time, you're a great RPer! Apache, from all my encounters, left a very good impression on me when I was new here.

But all that aside, it's obviously evident that some, or a lot, of you aren't following the high standard of RP here, or aren't doing do consistantly. I really thought that, for once, you took criticism to heart when it was said that you need to RP with your targets prior to attack. Now I hear, from a very reputabls source (Jura here), that you attacked him en masse with no RP? Do you want to improve or not?

I'm sorry, I'm just really disapointed with not only your ingame RP, but how you're handling criticism. This is a topic built so that you can hear what you are doing wrong, and fix it. That's a good thing. And yes, you're getting more flak than most, but that's for a reason. We don't just want to pick on you, we (or I, at least) want you to grow! To improve! All I get is rude comments and immature ones back.

You guys don't want to improve? That really saddens me, and loses respect for yourself as a faction.

Yes, Orin, it is a thread where people give Feedback, but it is not a thread made for someone to chase the DarkWings around, like some of us here have done. Honestly, I don't have to wonder why your post count is so high, because you don't get to the game, you just sit here and post, relentlessly, and lead people by the nose and expect to be rewarded for it.

That's how I started, just as a friendly suggestion. Raekur got all over me (and Xing) for it.


By the same reasoning, an Air Force assault squadron doesn't banter with their targets. What happens when a Liberty Naval group follows that ethic? They get sanctioned for attacking without a word.

This is a game. It's an RP server, but there are certain rules that have to be followed. Whether they follow perfect BH RP or not. You simply cannot attack without a word, and just saying "engage target" is rediculous in my eyes, and has been sanctioned for before. You're not being asked to discuss BH politics with your prey. Something along the lines of: "Blasted pirates, prepare yourselves!" would be great! Have fun with it, mix it up. It's really not that difficult.

This was me trying to reason with you guys on how attacking without a word, in RP for hunters or not, isn't right. This was immature of me? If it offended you or something, I'm sorry, but I don't see how it could have.


It's unfortunate that the DW is singled out more for this, but it's natural for an official faction to be under stricter inspection. Regardless, whether others do these same things or not doesn't give an excuse for everyone to follow suit. Everyone needs to try to grow past these issues, right?

No... Actually, I did. Quite a bit, actually. You work effectively as a team in combat, one of your members I flew with quite a bit while I was an LPI, and their RP really made an impression on me, being new to the server then. I have no reason to hate you guys... I don't know why you'd think that. I have (had) respect for you just for the faction you RP! You RP BHG! That's one of the bloody hardest factions in the game to RP. I always admired you guys for doing it. Then I saw some of your actions in game, and I said "Hey, that's not too cool. I'll try and add some constructive criticism, let Suzy know, and hopefully they can shape it up a little." What did I get for that? I'm called immature and flamed for doing so. Oh well.

You know what? I'm not. I try and help, and I'm ridiculed for it by Raekur. Maybe I'm a sucker for punishment! Stupid analogy here, because I don't think I'm some RP god but: Does a doctor stop treating his patient because they hit him when he tries to mend a wound? That's what I'm trying to do here. I don't think I'm better than anyone, no, but the DW has some issues right now. I tried, and am trying, to help them sort it out. If they yell at me for "flaming" them, so be it. I'm not flaming them, mind you, I'm trying to explain what's going wrong, and how and why it can be fixed. Is that bad? I don't get it. Just because I've posted a lot, means I'm being relentless and mean? If someone had this much input to voice about the GMG, I'd love it! I want criticism, because when it comes, it helps you see what's wrong and grow.

Actually, Orin, I agree with Raekur here.

I've been in multi-ship combats where people have had their shields downed, then thrust away to rebuild. In the meantime, while the shield is growing, the furball goes away from the combatant and he ends up several klicks away.

Heck, I watched a combat from a distance today where two fighters quite literally started at 5 K from me to my 'right', and by the time it was over, ended up 3K from me to my left - and that was just a 1 on 1.

Anyway, if you're going to give DW constructive feedback on RP - the constructive feedback I would give would be to stay in character when you are chatting. Please don't lol me...
