Forum idea is nice one, but utterly useless and it would encourage oorp. There were allready some people who believed FL is chat with nice graphics.

Base on other hand is nice work. You should maybe focus on making, or remking bases, since in theory, we need more of them. Also factionized bases would rawk hard.

If you are from a faction that wants to have a custom base or ship made just contact me.
We will work together until you get the model you want.
"It will just be the model and texture". Your faction will have to use the model to make a usable game element.

I meant more on house specific bases. Eg. Bret, Rheniland, Liberty, Kusari, Zoner, IMG. Since those have rather large amount of bases. Most of bases look alike, but when you read their infocard, you can see they are classed differently.

I will see later today, maybe i can cough up concept art or two.

Also bases should follow desing of faction ships.

I was personally thinking of building Kusari styled station.
I was wondering, what texture file were you using to build the last station? custom made?

I am also a 2D graphic artest. I could not find any of the real game textures out there so I actually took screenshots of a base In-game. Then I stretched the pics to a more quare shape and went from there.
But that is just for the basic metal, windows and dark mech. All the rest I just created from scratch.

Also, that is a great idea, because the Kusari ships are so much different than the others, they need a base.
the next base I make will be Kusari - Then Rheinland - Then Bretonian.

I am going to make bases that are more like the faction they are from.
BUT, it is vital that I get the texture files for the Rheinland, Kusari and Bretonian Battleships.

I have no Idea how to get them and I have looked, if any of you know how to get these texture files I would be eternaly greatfull.

There are many size bases in Sirius from border stations to "The Ring" and here is my first Kusari Base.
It is a basic size base just above the "border station class".

It is your basic Kusari building style, the mid section has 4 faces.
2 faces are fighter docks with sliding doors.
Third face is a capital ship dock point and a protruding arm for 2 turrets.
Final face hase Kusari style pipes (for looks) and a protruding arm for 2 turrets.
You can also put a turret on the top and bottom most points of the station.

sounds good.
I made a model previously, and dude noted something about the curved roof being somewhat useless - however, in my opinion the curved roof is much more representative of feodal japanese architectures, whereas pagoda like ones, such as shown in dude 42', is somewhat more imperial chinese if I recall.
