Today at Crete, the Corsair homeworld, an Outcast destroyer tried to intercept an independent transport carrying h-fuel. What the pilot of the dessie didn't know was that a Junker combat crew was onboard as passengers. The captain of the vessel relinquished controls to the Junker officers and in short order, the transport--a firefly class--destroyed the fully outfitted Outcast destroyer.

The amazing part? The firefly was armed only with tizzona turrets and engaged the destroyer when threatened!

The pilot quickly found his shields depleted and the Junker crew kept their guns on him point blank as a standard patrol of Corsair titans pummeled his ship. The Corsair vessel "ARRRRGH" arrived just in time to witness the craft's destruction.

Cost to the Junker's ship? Some shield and hull bats.

Hat's off from the Junker News desk to these scrappy Junkers!

Here's a gun camera image snapped as the Outcast pilot realized he had bitten off more than he could chew:

We're betting this Outcast is going to have a lot of explaining to do back at Malta.

Phew! That's some impressive flying! I always knew the Firefly was a proud ship, but never knew it had capabilities like that. Perhaps I should hire those Junker pilots to train my Fly-boy and gunners how to deal out the punishment. But then again, we don't encounter many hostile capital class vessels.

Thats what the outcasts get for putting a novice in the captains seat of a Destroyer I suppose. I bet those junkers pulled some nice parts off that wreckage too, huh?

Yeah not bad, not bad. Yet another idiot cardy sniffer wasted within spitting distance of the Crete docking rings.

But what I wanna know is, who did you have to <bleep> to get your grubby hands on a whole ship load of Tizzies? I can't even get a Borocco out of those paranoid Corsairs.

By the way mate I wouldn't cheer too loud over the destruction of an Outcast, no matter how stupid he was, and I also wouldn't galavant about flashing those 'sair weps... tends to annoy the other half of Sirius with whom we do business.

Take my advice, just keep your head down, make more money that way, haha.

The Junker News Service is an independent news agency providing news for and of Junker interest.

We of course protect the confidentiality of Junkers we cover and it should be noted that grounds for any legal action are ameliorated by the fact we have provided no names of those onboard the vessel involved--which was not a Junker ship. It is noteworthy news and deserving of reporting. We feel that even an Outcast would hold such a pilot in disdain and could not help for having some admiration for the crew as they-more than most--value skill and bravery in combat.

As to how the tizzonas were acquired? One can only speculate as such things are not known to hard working honest Junker folk--any such weapons Junkers possess were no doubt salvaged from wrecks. Perhaps the pilot simply purchased salvaged and refurbished turrets from a Junker station.

We certainly would never infer that this ship has made regular runs to Crete and is on good terms by virtue of its trade with any Corsairs.

That would be pure speculation and beneath a reputable new reporting enterprise.

So remember, "If its not Junker, its scrap!"

.........Umm, what was an OC destroyer doing chasing down a junker ship full of H-fuel?

Even so, Interesting fighting. The constant shield busting on top of the standard patrol gnawing at the hull was an interesting strategy. The destroyer also likely didn't use it's maneuvering abilities to it's potential. also taking into account the lack of armor, it's seems slimmer than the average destroyer. In any case I wouldn't brag too much, cardi sniffer we may be but when we're sober we have pre-tay decent aim.

Isn't that right...?

Hola,

the captain from this destroyer was acting independently. We dissociate from this incident.
I hope this incident will not break up the neutrality between the junkers and the outcasts.
