We need serious ideas, but it is probably too late for 4.85, maybe 4.86 if ever.
Every faction deserves some sort of PvP balance so nobody can complain "Oh your faction has better weapons!".
It happens, I know a few and you all know it.
Balance especially in here is awkward to achieve since there will never be 100% approval, thus it the annoyance of democracy...
Now lets try to think of logical and again reasonable stats and infocards or Level 10 faction guns, maybe level 5 turrets, I think level 5 is the max on fighters...
Anyway, we need an alternative and RP way to AVOID codenames. They are 'special' not PvP abused to bypass faction faults.

I'd like lvl 10 weapons for certain factions, and only if it made sense.
Fact is, space isn't fair. Xenos don't have it fair, yet they still have an impressive player base. Advantages and disadvantages make RP more flavorful. Liberty will always be a fear inspiring war machine. The GMG will always be a stealthy, hit quick with superior tactics faction.
Not all factions have capital ships, either. We wouldn't make it "fair" by giving everyone their own cap fleet, so why would we do so with weapons? Someone suggested custom shield busters for every faction. That didn't fly. I don't think this will do any better.
But really, some more lvl 10s would be nice. The Corsairs have their Colada, but not many other factons have any lvl 10 at all. Something like a secret development available for the RM would be interesting etc.
Maybe its enough, to rebalance few known house weapons bugs, and from this base, we add class 10, with a power range like codies, or 3% better than codies.

A few words in Skype, just change the infocards on some CODENAMES.
I mean the DIAMONDBACK looks and FEELS like a miniature Liberty Cruiser gun, which is lets face it a super gun.
So what if some CODENAMES where special faction research projects?
I mean every faction has some sort of, overpowered 'executioner' that is given the best kit.
So what if the CODENAMES or new 'specials' were given faction driven infocards or history to put new weapons in.
e.g. The Liberty Navy attempted to make some sort of new high firepower to energy ration weapon that would ensure the safety of Liberty. The Liberty Cruiser manufacturers were tasked with miniaturizing their weapon for their fighter fleet.
The DIAMONDBACK looked like a mini Liberty Cruiser supergun.
I think the Hammerfall 'sounds' like a mini Solaris.
Maybe we could re-tool the CODENAMES to become faction friendly without deleting...
