So I like Corsair really really much, the Titan is bestest looking ship, so I done some missions, bought it with guns etc. Next thing I wanted to do is explore sirios a bit, first place Malta because I remember from the other server its closest pirate (only FP9 closer but those arent pirate). Secret jumphole in Theta is removed unfortunately so had to find other way..
After long travel finally in Eta (I think), I tried to pass to Alpha jumphole, but some Outcast troops didn't allow me in, even when paying tax or anything.. Had to leave.. So I got back a bit later, and flew past them outside cruisedisrupt range. In Alpha, really quiet, I think they didnt follow me. But +- 10k from Malta suddenly a dozen fighters appeared, I asked them if I could continioue journey, but unfortunately not.. I had no intentions of harming, so I even offered them to escort me around the system showing cool places like hispania etc -if they wouldnt trust-, but no.. They started firing, managed to kill 2 CSV's in selfdefense. I hope this doesnt hurt any relation between Corsair and Outcast by the way. Finally they managed to kill me.. Due to rules no 4 hour entrance, so journey was closed before even starting... I really wanted to visit Hispania and everything.
Now I understand both come from sleeper ship Hispania, and are both spanish etc.. so why this big fighting? I have 70% red with outcast, is this the reason of attacking? I spoke to a guy from them in Private chat, and he says even with 100% green and freelancer/civilian id he wouldnt let me in... also no more talk to me because he doesnt like to take to 'cannibals'. well fine, im asking it now here.
also please fix name 'Starflier Pilot', i fly titan thanks =).
I won't get into the history of the Corsairs and the Outcasts. You should know that by now.
The conflict stems from the artifact and cardamine smuggling routes. Both routes go through the Sigma systems to deliver artifacts and cardamine to the Junkers in Sigma-13. The Junkers can only buy one or the other, so naturally, whoever gets there first gets the money from the Junkers. The Corsairs want to get there first, so they shoot the Outcasts to stop them from selling their cardamine before the Corsairs can sell their artifacts. The Outcasts also want to get there first, so they shoot the Corsairs also.
Trade routes also go through the Sigma Systems as well. Traders can only pay one of the two groups, so naturally, the Corsairs and the Outcasts will shoot each other until one side is left standing. That winning side can then pirate the trader.
Basically, it's just a big war over who has control of the smuggling routes and the piracy spots in the Sigma Systems. There are a few instances of Corsairs and Outcasts getting along, but overall, they want to shoot each other more than getting along. For all intents and purposes, the two sides are at war and hate each other.
The Discovery Mod kind of screwed up the war because the fight is now in the Omicrons instead of the Sigmas, but I hear that this has been fixed in 4.86.

Thanks for reply.
To me, cadamine and artifacts are no problem I think.
They sayed in the story somewhere (cant remember where) that synthetic cadamine is being made somewhere, and artifacts are being depleted by the Corsairs. In long term I think then eventually there wont be a problem anymore by these?
Also even now it is weird, because the story tells artifacts are being searched for by the rich, and I think drugs like cadamine are being used not only by rich, but all people. So theire market shouldnt compete and because of this form no problem?
Also, talking about trade route piracy... i think without all extra fleet to defend against war between eachother, the ships can be used to be more further into other sectors, and so making more profit by piracy, e.g. corsair can be more far in rheinland or bretonia, and outcast in kusari ?
I feel sad because Outcast and Corsair are like brothers, but still have big fights and kill eachothers.. I even heard corsair have big trouble with making foods, but making war is more important so people are starving at crete because of this war....
Even one more reason to me is the bounty hunters. They annoy me very much from most anoying things on the server everytime i see them. I fly in space minding own business and then they suddenly appear from nowhere and demand my stuffs or death. when i go to liberty or rheinland i expect police, but bountyhunters are on places they shouldnt be and they come even if im not pirating anything... if there is one thing at least corsairs and outcast be making peace to deal with bounties. then maybe they go away and stop coming from bugging me and all other pirates =) thanks!!
You're thinking too hard into this. It's unlikely that the two will reunite in the near future. All of the other stuff is a kind of irrelevant. The Outcasts will just destroy any synthetic cardamine that is created while the Corsairs will keep finding artifacts to trade. They already found abundant amounts in Omicron Delta and there's still some left in the nebulae of Omicron Gamma and Omicron Theta.
Corsairs and Outcasts can travel much more freely throughout Sirius if they want to. The Houses can't because the other Houses would view the foreign military ships as an act of war, but since the Hispanics are unlawful, they go where they please, although the Outcasts and Bretonia are somewhat friendly and the same is true for the Corsairs and Kusari. Corsairs regularly pirate in Bretonia, Rheinland, the Omega Systems, and the Sigma Systems while Outcasts regularly pirate in Liberty, Kusari, Rheinland, Gallia, the Tau Systems, and the Sigma Systems.
Also, the Corsairs aren't starving because of the war. It's because Planet Crete is very mountainous with little fertile soil for growing food. The Corsairs still focus on pirating food traders, but they also have border conflicts when Outcasts come along.
As for the Bounty Hunters, they aren't big enough of a threat to get the Hispanics to reunite.

I feel a bit pity for the corsairs thou, concerning the foods.
I heard I will be able to make my own base in version 4.86? Will I be able to grow food there like freeport 9 etc? Would be nice to make one like this near crete, and if everyone did this there shouldnt be hunger anymore there.
Would be really nice to do! I guess at first you have to bring water and fertilizers to produce food, then we can produce those for ourselves too, which require h-fuel I think. But the h-fuel can be made from water and energy from the sun in gamma, so cycle complete!
Also, I guess a trade agreement or somekind of ceasefire would be nice between outcasts and corsairs.. Or at least allow unarmed ships (e.g. transports) free access to certain areas of outcast/corsair territory, I think both would benifit from it greatly. But I think food grown at Malta all contains cadamine, so I guess this is not really pleased at crete, as would make corsairs addicts too...
Also, is it possible as Freelancer or some other ID to be friendly both to corsairs as outcasts? I heard its not possible because you will be regarded as traitor or something...
lol goddamn lad, pitty you're not an outcast patriot.
Either way, i suggest you read the lores of both factions and if any questions remain, you may ask on skype : templar995
A Psalm out of the outcast history books.
The dons are our shepherds; I shall not want. They make us live with a cause; They lead us trough the still vasts of space. They restore our souls; They lead us in the paths of righteousness For The Orange Dream. Yai, though we fly through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil; For the Spirits are with us; Your leadership and Your cardamine, they comfort us. You prepare a safe home for us in the presence of our enemies; Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us All the days of our life; And we will dwell in the house of the outcasts Forever
An untarnished mind arrived, with their own opinions on the Outcast and Corsair interaction. They never knew, that there was a war. And when they were told there was one, they did not understand the reasoning behind it. They consider the Hispanian factions long-separated brothers, who should reunite. I think this shows that there is not much logical progression in this particular part of the Disco story, although I understand that opinions can vary from one player to another.
The new player was immediately put in their place (so to speak). Pity. How does one come up with original roleplay, when immediately after expressing a desire to do something different, you are put back in line?
vlko, lets say we did unite, we would become a powerfull force that no house navy would be able to stop (maybe in RP they could if they combined their strength) but certainley not with all the cap loving indies on each side, hell in OORP we could march our way trough all the houses with a cap fleet of 30 indies atleast.
if we made peace, we'd be terribly unbalanced

a mini-house that has no means of acquiring food has no place in it for dreadnaughts and battleships. period.
a mini-house with fertility issues that has it's population reduced to a minimum has no place in it for ships needing HUNDREDS (if not thousands) of people per ship. period.
