Quote:At the risk of giving away additional 4.85 information, I will state that NPC battleship/cruisers will now rape anyone hostile to them. Gone are the days of easily being able to base camp.

Super. Just one question.

are they still going to be in the same places and with the same frequency? If so, then why bother being an unlawful? most (notice most, not ALL) lawfuls will just sit outside their pretty palace capital planet under the protective umbrella of their NPC patrols. makes for a boring, unfair, and static gaming experience in my opinion.

A good point indeed.

Then pirate the tradelanes like pirates are suppose to, if the lawfuls want to stop you they will have to leave the planets protective bubble. If they don't, more money for you.

Exactly, the patrols are at bases for a reason.

Remember mission one of sp? Rogues taking donw a TL between FB and Pittsburg: King: "Those rogues must be getting desperate attacking this close to fort bush".

*jump over to disco RP server*

4 Rogue GBs above Manhattan ... ehhh what?

:DPerfect yes, Reminds me of New Berlin today... i hunted a trader all the way to NB and rheinland and BHG caps massed out on me:D... that is perfectly in RP to expect for a pirate who ventures in to house capital...

I'll imagine there'll be a steep learning curve for unlawfuls

*Sends Praetorian out towards Cambridge*

*Learns steeply*

Besides that, I relish the prospect of lawfuls hiding at planets. The BAF have been getting far too good at chasing me away as of late. The protective 'bubble' as Johann called it, would also form a defensive checkpoint for traders.

At any rate, I want to see the changes first hand now...

And will the Fleet Admiral commodity be getting a buff so it's worth more to compensate for the danger? If you put enough energy into capturing one (fleet action much), there should be an incentive to cover the damages.

Well I dont know about patrols but I have seen some Outcast destroyers in Alpha near Ibiz (or whatever its called).

I do agree on having more fighters though, those battleships are a little vulnerable especially if a bomber just watzes by...

Oh well, it's an interesting topic!:PAt any rate I would like to see Corsair NPC cap patrols, seeing as the 'Casts have them in Alpha. I mean, the current placement for Corsair caps is messed up - I mean Osiris' in Delta, but not protecting your home system?

I would also like to see mod-capitals used, rather than just the vanilla ones, so Legate NPCs rather than Osiris'
